Anyone install the genesis dual battery rack or have installed a similar set up? Pricing around, genesis is expensive!!

I’ve got one and it’s great if you don’t have room for a second big battery. It works very well, but I’d do it different if I did it again. The system is awesome, but you’re limited by the space. I’d look at the SDHQ if I were doing it again, or build my own based on some I’ve seen in a few overlanding forums. Get a couple big ass batteries…

Check the link in my first post of this thread. Cheap and easy dual battery setup. I think the genesis is a nice (albeit expensive) setup, but ultimately I did not want the weight of two batteries in the front driver side of my truck.

Nice thanks guys. I’ll check out the threads. Yeah been considering this. I like the idea of having lights, etc separated from the start up battery.

I am rolling my own with a blue sea acr and fabbing up a mount to fit in area under the hood by the passenger side firewall.

I like the sdhq kit but can’t justify the cost when I already have a blue sea acr and alread have all wiring and connectors
