I know, I know, I know it's been beaten to death :deadhorse: I'm sorry!!! but I'm on the market for fog lights... Tell me what you got and why, what options you went with... Driving, Fog, Spot, Beam pattern, Amber (why) or Clear

I'm looking at Baja Design or Rigid

    Thanks

Well, I've got the stock fogs. They came with the truck. :anonymous:. I know, my post was really helpful. :(

Baja designs squadron Sport. Easy install with kit. Light are extremely helpful in difficult conditions. Also like that I have the option of changing out the lenses for different light pattern. I am running the amber lens, works great in heavy snow conditions, and rain and fog. I am using wide cornering, doesn't throw light to far but gives you a wide field of view. I have had these lights for a year and been very happy with them. They hold up great and had no problems with them. My lights are 2300 lumens a side I believe the new lights are 3200 lumens. I do run them sometimes on the road and have yet to been flashed. I do live in WY so anything goes with light output. I highly recommend Baja designs.

Pro has way more output, made for desert running and high speed. Sport has less output in lumens but still a flame thrower. Not a great light for high speed in dusty conditions like the squadron Pro's. I have the round kit. Here a photo of the round kit. I would get round kit.

Fog on, they throw great light. These are the older Sqadron Sport new model throw even more light.

Those Baja are bright!!! I was looking to get some but might have to wait for the dot approved ones. I’m in California and I like to drive with the dogs on.

Yep they throw some good light. I live on a ranch and it get real dark out here. I have yet to be flashed when using them on the road, but again it's WY, CA a much different story. DOT ones should be out soon.

I had someone pull out in front of me one time, this driver was being a dick. I turned the fog lights on and they soon pulled over. He got the point real fast.

I have the Baja Designs Squadron Sports with the Amber wide cornering lens. I don't think it matters whether you get the R or the square if you get the fog pocket kit it'll work. I think mine are the square lights in the round fog pocket bezel.
I drive a lot of backroads at night and these things will light up the night. I'm always concerned about deer jumping out to say hi and I can definitely see the roadside better with these. I highly recommend.

Here is a pic of the fogs on with DRL only, headlights off. You can see how bright they are.

But the Amber is way better for rain n fog from what I've read, correct?

It is in my opinion. We have had more than our fair share of rain and fog lately, I'm sick of rain, and these have worked like a charm. I like the Amber contrast in fog. I always thought white lights in a thick white fog just increased the glare.

Legend has it that aftermarket fog lights are brighter because they're made to match the fastest Tundra color.
