Does one inch really make that much of a difference?

... Okay, without using middle school humor, does one inch really make a difference? I currently have a 2 inch level on my '23 - it's a double cab with a 6 ft bed. I'm considering swapping out the level with a 3 inch lift kit - 3 in the front, 1.5 in the rear. It would only add an additional inch to what I already have up front, and then the 1.5 added to the rear since I currently don't have anything in the rear.

Would it really be worth it, cosmetics wise, for a 1 inch difference? If anyone happens to have comparison pics of 2 inch level swapped to a 3 inch lift, I'd greatly appreciate it. I've seen plenty of stock height vs 3 inch lift, but can't seem to find much comparing this specific switch. I keep thinking that the dimensions of the longer bed would just look better (more balanced?) if the truck sat a little bit higher.

Welcome from TN. I don't think an inch would make a difference.

Cosmetic wise? If you're doing something that you think is cool, you risk doing something that the other half of the population thinks it makes you look like a dweeb.
I've always been a form follows function guy. If I make a mod to something it's going to make it work better or easier.

going from 2 to 3 in lift visually wont be much of a difference. it will only matter if you are trying to fit hardware within the confines or for technical trails that need the clearance (mudding is all i could think of)

otherwise visually it will look awkward unless you fill in the gap lifting another 1 in

did a mild adjustable lift on a 2016 tacoma, went from 1.5 in down to 1 in and overall to us it wasnt worth the hassle, same for the replacement exhaust (the noise drone wasnt worth it)

are you planning to add a larger tire to fill the wheel well out ? I did the Eibach 2.5 / 1 kit on my TRD pro .... allows for a 37". Dobinson offer a 6mm spring packer as well if it's not level and you need to bring the rear up.

It is subjective really. To me, a one inch difference wouldn't be worth it. But that's just me.

at least the black wheels hides the gap in the wheel well better.

On paper it sounds dumb, but I test drove both and the extra inch made a big difference.

    Couple things

Looks good as is, but 1-2 inch of more lift won't look bad either. These trucks do look good with a decent lift/tires on them. Decisions Decisions.
