Do I need longer shocks if I put 2 inches of lift in the rear?

I will be putting a leveling kit on my 2003 Tundra and was wondering if I would need longer shocks or if the stock shocks will still work for it?

Welcome bud. Not if you only raise the front.

Welcome. Joon's right and be wary of spacer lifts in the front.

If you are adding 2" of lift in the rear then yes you would need longer shocks or you will be limiting your downtravel by 2".

stock shocks don't do well with added height in the back.

Put on a 1" block in the rear....shocks were shot within a couple months. (only had 50K miles on it)

I had the opposite problem. I put Bilstein 6112's on the front which lifted the front almost 2" (2nd position to get the best on road ride, per Bilstein's in house Toyota guys) and then I had to put a 2" leveling kit on the back to keep the truck flat. Worked like a charm. On road and off the ride is WAAAAAY better than stock (which to be honest I found appalling after decades of pickups). Then I put on 275/60's on my 20" wheels and ride got a bit better. Stock shocks BARELY fit with the 2" but the 5160's fit great.

Another interesting topic let hear your thoughts
I originally put the ultimate lift with toytecs shakles out back
last week I put new EMU leaves and stock shackles back on it lifted it 2.25 over my saggy leafs and toys shackles its sitting right where I want it but think I need new shocks (longer ) over the 5100,s yes or no ? If so what should I get looking for nice road manners

I believe the bilsteins are extended length ideal for 1" lift. If so then you could be limiting your downtravel as they are extended out 1.25" further at ride height than if on 1" lift.

Go with OME rear shocks. They are good for up to 3 inches of rear lift.

CSUVIPER so what your saying is you believe the 5100s are good for "just" 1 inch rear lift? So 1" block or 1" extended shackle?

I have 5160's on the back with a 2" level kit. The OEM shocks fit (just). But the 5160's have no problem with it.

Correct. You can use them for the 2" rear lift but you would be limiting the downtravel.
