I gave my son his first truck which is a 2005 Toyota Tundra double cab. I have some 20" rims and tires in my garage that I had on my Tacoma before I made the upgrade to a Tundra. The tires are 275/55R20. Would the tires fit his truck? Or do I need to put a small lift or leveling kit on it? Trying to surprise him for XMAS.

    Would a 3" lift work?

Awesome first truck! As mentioned it depends on if the Tacoma shares the 6x139.7 bolt pattern. It should depending on the year.

Should fit, that's in the neighborhood of a 32×11 tire. One thing to check on is backspace, you want less than 5" of backspace for that size. If they were in a Taco they should fit fine.

Thanks all for the responses. The rims that are on the tires actually came off of an 04 Tundra. So the rims will fit the Tundra. I was really worried about the tires fitting. By the looks of whatever one is saying they should fit.

So I have a little more info on the tire. The tires are Nitro Grapplers, will the tread have any effect on if they will fit or any rubbing?
