So I got my transmission rebuilt for 7k, yes 7k and my transmission is slipping again, however when I called Ammco who had done my transmission they said they are gonna to charge me extra because I didn’t tell them I had a transfer case issue but when they got my truck they should of knew about the transfer case issue. They did a diagnostic test. My 4lo light was on back then to and I had no idea what that meant. Is it true that ammco doesn’t have to honor my warranty? It’s been less then 5 weeks and I got my transfer case fixed at a local shop because I don’t trust them. They even tried to sell me a brake job to which I did the brakes on my truck less then a year ago. Can I sue them if they won’t honor there warranty especially since it’s been only 5 weeks and my transmission is not acting right.

1- you should ask a lawyer in your own state.
2- do you have a diagnostics printout from before the repair showing that they noticed the transfer case light?

I went to AAMCO once. I had them rebuild the transmission for my F250. It fried after 11,000 miles and 30 months. I exceeded the calendar time for the warranty so the warranty was expired. I took it to a Best Western Transmission and told them I wanted a heavy duty transmission. I am still very happy. I will NEVER take anything of mine back to AAMCO.

It said this in the work description.

transaxle, diagnosis. Time to took hook up and discount, test equipment, checking system for fault codes, and road test as required.

they even went from 5k to 7k like what the hell.

Anymore thoughts? I’m just getting sick at this point. For the price I paid they should have fixed it correctly.

You can sue anyone for anything. Happens every day. Whether or not you will win is up to a judge.

You may have grounds as it states "checking system for fault codes".
Your best bet would be to talk with a lawyer. Which I am not, neither are most people here.
