so my neighbor found Full grown red eared slider and offered it to me. So my 10 yr old son wanted it so in the aquarium we have would not fit so we decided to buy a 175 gallon pond for now. So I was looking at filters but they are way to much money. So I decided to make my own pretty simple so if you guys have any questions hit me up.

Hey. Probably it's too late but better than never. Do you have photos? And what is your overall assessment of efficiency?

    Pics or it didn't happen!

My brother and I made one for his pond. We used a 55 gallon drum, some 2.5" abs pipe, a bulkhead, some elbows, some tubing and a pump. We used some pads from a floor buffer and cut them up into smaller parts and threw them in. Its been running well for 2 years, never even had to clean it.

    I don't have pics

I would like to hear more about your filter. I’ve been trying to figure out what to do about keeping my pond cleaned
