I did six handles in my truck. I actually found it easier to wrap them while installed in the truck as I was able to keep everything nice and tight.

    Hey fellas,

I love what everyone has done with their handles, I decided to take yall's idea and run with it. I just got finished today adding a cobra wrap on all of my handles in my Tundra. I decided to follow suit with the color cordination of the vehicle interrior and i think it turned out ok. Let me know yall's opinion. I personally thought the sing wrap was to plain for me.

After trying a couple different patterns, this spiral style was by far the easiest to keep tight and not use excess cord and was pretty much a cinch.

One suggestion would be to turn the handle over when starting so you end on the underside, too.

Another option is the cord used on deckhand style fishing rods. I believe it's resin coated, they also offer wax coated. Cheap and most tackle shops supply it. I used to make custom fishing rods and threw some on my handles back in 2011, still looks brand new today. I removed the 2 front handles for wrapping, also plasti-dipped the a-pillars from gray to black. Rear handles wrapped in place 20190218_122235-01.jpg 20190218_111138-01.jpg

Nothing fancy, just a straight wrap as tight as I could get them, the resin helps keep the wraps tight. I also wrapped the column shifter. Attached is the back side of the wrap, as well as the rear handles20190218_154500.jpg 20190218_154833.jpg

Gotcha. It's been a while, so the details a bit foggy. I think I tucked the first loop under itself, similar to the first step of typing shoe laces. I recall pulling really hard all the way through wrapping, also pushing each loop into the previous. The resin sort of molds to itself.
For the end, I did the same tucking technique, on the inside of the handle. Trimmed it closely and used a lighter to burn it flush.
