Dislocated Thumb CMC joint

    Here is how I’m spending my New Year’s. My right hand is in recovery from a dislocated CMC joint. Long story short, I punched a speed bag and hit my thumb on the corner of another structure beside it. The surgery consists of a pin through my closest thumb bone into the closest hand bone, and a tendon anchor into the thumb bone. Anyway here are some pictures of post surgery and after I cleaned it up once I got home. The pin comes out on the 17th. Wear the splint for three more weeks after then physio.

    I've had this same injury, hurt like hell. I decided against the surgery, it turned out fine, they put a hard cast on it for about 3 weeks, decided to take the cast off myself, got tired not being able to do normal stuff.
