Have been reading up lately on 2nd gens having a problem with the AIP going out and throwing the truck into limp mode. I’ve read where some folks disconnect the AIP while its still in working order to somewhat bypass the system, but it causes the CEL to stay on at all times.

I’m just trying to find out if this is something worth doing in hopes of saving the hassle of replacing the AIP in the future if it fails? Have any of y’all disconnected yours?
