ok so I received my new 8" DirtyDeeds exhaust Friday. Today has been the first time I was even able to open the box. I purchased the stainless steel version because of the climate here in Chicago. But when I opened the box I found the system all painted black.
Does anyone know if this is correct. I wanted to install it today, but not sure if I received the wrong setup.
Hope someone here has purchased the stainless pipes to let me know how theirs were.

Thanks again for the quick responce. On a Sunday. You wouldn't get anyone to help from Toyota on a Sunday.

Ok so its installed on my 2015 dbl cab. Now for a test drive.

Took a long ride with the new exhaust. Sounds great. Very little drone in the cab with the windows up.
Installed pretty ez. And that was with the truck on the ground, no lift. Just put the rear wheels up on ramps. A couple bolts were tough to get loose even after letting them soak in BP Blaster. I'm getting to old to be laying on the grage floor.

There is a hugh draw back in this exhaust. I noticed that my gas milage DROPPED about 3-5 mpg. Maybe thats because I keep punching the gas to hear the nice sound.

although I did notice this past week I added some air to my tires they had been aired to 38psi I put 42psi over the last 2 weeks and have gained a few mpgs I went from 12mpg up to 13.5 either the exhaust is breaking in or the psi made the difference I will keep logging all the noticeable changes just to be sure its the psi

The new exhaust shouldnt decrease the gas milege. If any thing I would think a slight improvement. I'll keep a eye on it.
But they sound great. The gf thinks they are to loud. Guess I my be a little deaf.

mileage drops with dual exhaust and never comes back, our trucks thermal dynamics require a single exhaust to work properly. Dual is only for looks.

Our 8" system, or any standard bolt on system loses mpg at first, but that is the users fault for gunning it everywhere they go to hear the BAexhaust:) When you get over the new found awesomeness eminating from your truck, mpg actually comes back a little better than stock:)

Kieth, I've got your dual cat back and my avg mileage alternates between 14.8 and 14.9. I get anywhere from 320 to 370 miles out of a tank of gas.

My gas mileage has improved, when I keep my foot off the floor.
My system has been on for about a month now. With the new exhaust and a K&N drop in filter I have been getting 1 1/2 to 2 mpg better

I'm sure Keith would sell you just the mufflers that he builds. They are a flow thru design, which is what you want on our trucks. Then you could use your existing piping with a small piece to fill in the gap. Also, spintech makes a nice flow thru design. Honestly, the tundra isn't very loud with straight pipes. You could just weld a straight pipe and see if you like it.
