Question for you guys with the BA systems. I had a Flowmaster 40 series with dual outs on my 2013 with the 4.6. I love the sound. I am looking at the BA for my 5.7. Compared to the Flowmaster, do you think the 8 would sound better and more comparable than the 6 inch?

No flowmaster is going to sound as good as either the 8 or 6 inch system. I’m not sure what you’re asking about the “8” sounding better and more comparable than the 6”

Call Keith? He sold me on the 10inch and was exactly what I asked for! But sounds better than expected! :burnrubber:

Which one would have the most badass rumble? I like hearing my exhaust at all speeds.

I'll have the 6" in a few weeks. I'll probably post 100 videos shorty after

Just call Keith. He will patiently and expertly answer your questions. He got me the exhaust I needed and didn’t make me feel like a moron or a nuisance. Call him up.

Depends what sound you’re going for. 8” is deeper sounding with normal driving. 6” is a bit more raspy. Both pretty much sound the same at wot.

Have you considered the budget system? There is a little drone but when you throw on the resonator I think it will be exactly what you are looking for. If not, go with the 6” and experiment with the resonator. You will hear it at all speeds without the resonator but with that will come some drone in the 60 mph range. The DD systems are great but will generally be quieter then the flowmaster 40, especially when just cruising.

The 8 inch is a lower rumble. The 6 inch is raspier higher pitch sound. And the budget to me was to loud but might be good for others. I had installed the Budget with resonator but still did not like it. So I installed my 8 inch back. But now I did cut it right after the axle with a BA tip

6 is going to be pretty loud and raspy.
If it is just you (no wife and kids ride in your truck), and you want your truck to sound like a redneck's 1979 Chevy 440 truck, go for it.

8 will be more tamed, but still aggressive and a bit of rasp when you accelerate.
Nice loud report when you jump on it.
I had a custom 7 (pretty much sounded like an 8) and felt it was a little much, but I'm older and way over my redneck days.
Wife didn't mind the 8, but I felt is was a little too much coming home from work at midnight as well as local daily driving.

Swapped that 8 for a 10 and I'm very happy with it.
I can make it loud when I want, still sounds sweet starting with the remote start, but I can also be quiet putting around the subdivision coming home.
I rev it up under every bridge and overpass, as well as remote start every time I walk up to the truck, just to hear it.

If I were to buy a new 2020, I'd possibly put a 12 on it.
I don't tow at all, but I love my BAM.
Both BAM systems (7 & 10) had less drone that the stock muffler/res (it is all in one) with Keith's Helmholtz resonator..

Contact Keith @dirtydeeds and discuss your wants and needs (towing, etc..) with him.
He will recommend what you need based on your wants...

I told Keith that I wanted the added performance free flowing mufflers deliver, but I didn't want it louder than stock when cruising. My stock muffler on my RCSB was dumped ahead of the axle with a factory resonator, so it was louder than most factory systems.

Keith designed a 3 muffler system with 16", 10" and 8.5" after the Y-pipe exiting a single tail pipe that has been shortened by 24", the shorter tail pipe requires a Helmholtz resonator that is 6" longer than standard. Keith hit a home run with his design, I get all of the sounds I wanted and the boost in performance is great.

As other have recommended in here. Your best bet would to call Steve. He definitely knows his product and I've been very happy with my product, (8" exhaust). Didn't want to piss off my neighbors, so its low key when just cruising and such. Anytime I'm on the gas you can definitely hear it.

8" BA with resonator is the perfect sound at all speeds. Loud when you want it to be, quiet when you want it to be. I've had mine almost a year. Could not be more pleased with it.

lol, it's worth the wait, but it is not easy. I drove around listening to sample videos from youtube. My kids thought it was hilarious. My wife wasn't so enthusiastic about it, though she likes the actual exhaust tone now that it is installed.

Keith, I called the other day and she said I should go with the 6 inch. To me, unless I'm way off, it seemed like the 8 inch had more of the "muscle" sound in the video compared to the 6"?
