So I received my 6" system from Keith last week and immediately installed it at home. Took about an hour because I decided to paint the rest of the exhaust. Upon completing the install I noticed a leak from one of the connections. I didn't bother trying to fix it as I was already exhausted. I drove around the block and didn't like it partly because of the leak and mostly because of the drone(I hadn't installed the resonator). Next day I took it to a muffler shop and they confirmed I didn't connect one of the pipes tight enough and actually stripped one of the bolts. They fixed that and installed the resonator and had me on my way within 30 minutes. Now that the leak was fixed and the res was on it sounded better but still not what I expected. I figured i'd give it a couple days to break in before deciding what to do(I had a similar experience when removing my resonator and installing X pipe on my E63) Now, after a few days of driving and breaking in the system I love the sound, its just perfect. Quiet when cruising and throaty when on it. If you're considering an exhaust I definitely recommend talking to Keith.

Not sure if this is a result of the exhaust but i feel like its a bit more sluggish now after the exhaust but maybe thats just because its making more noise than its moving? Seriously considering 4.88 gears. It simply doesn't get off the line like i'd like it to.

I really don't think its the exhaust as it doesn't feel slower than before. Could it be that I expect it to move faster since its sounds faster?

I can say that with the tow/haul its almost perfect. I say almost because with tow/haul the throttle is so sensitive its hard to have smooth take offs.

Installed the standard budget system today w/ the resonator. Like everyone said, the YouTube vids don't do the system justice. My truck ROARS. It's not obnoxious at all and the drone is not bad on the highway. Had go to several muffler shops today for the resonator install. Left one shop after the worker told me "this is bullshit work man, why would you add a resonator if you deleted your mufflers? All you have here is a tube. Hope you didn't pay a lot for it. You won't find a muffler shop in all of Louisiana that is able to add this." Needless to say I left immediately to a shop a block away and had it done. The guys at this shop loved the sound. Thanks @dirtydeeds for the awesome system. Highly recommend his systems!!

Honestly I think the 10” would be too quiet for my liking. The 6 is just right and I suppose for those who want it a little quieter the 8 makes sense. Anything less than that I think would be almost non existent. Would love to get feedback once yours is installed.

If you get a chance please post a video of the 10" system. Trying to decide between the 8", 10" or TRD. I like the sounds of the TRD and 8" but was thinking about going with the 10" to reduce drone when towing. Thanks!

Will do! I just got a email that they are about to ship. Cant wait for the arrival.

I will try to post a video after I install the system. I mainly use the truck for towing our camper in Colorado, so thats why I went with the 10 inch after talking to dirtydeeds. Will keep you guys posted!

To everyone waiting for a video clip. None of them that I have heard ever truly sound like the system in person. I searched and listened to many different systems before going with the 6" BAM system. I chose based on what the videos sounded like. Trouble is, none of the videos truly capture what it sounds like. Best to go listen to one in person.

That said, I am happy with the 6" system. I just wish these trucks had a nastier idle tone.

    Not nearly enough room here!
I've had Keith's 10" catback on my 2010 for several years now. We tow every year on a 500 mile vacation trip. There's NO drone at any speed with this system. For those who think the 10" muffler is too much like "stock", they're mistaken. You'll NEVER confuse this exhaust for 'stock', no matter how deaf you may be. When you get into it, it's surprising how it comes alive!

So I finally had time to install my 10 inch system. It's the exact sound I was looking for! It's not stock quiet, some rumble can be heard. Its a nice deep sound. I'll definitely be installing the resonator before I tow. If the stock sound is a 0 and my neighbors 1100 HP STI is a 10. I would rate mine a 1.5. And that's while reving the motor. It will work out perfect for our truck while towing our camper.

I have the 8" but haven't installed the resonator yet since my shop told me they didn't want to do it (they didn't like the idea of it getting hot and being close to the transfer case). It is damn loud, but really nice. May put the resonator on at some point still.

The resonator makes a pretty significant difference. I was ready to sell my 6" til i put it on and it's all good now

Maybe I’m missing something. The resonator gets installed after the rear axle. It is nowhere near the transfer case. Unless you’ve got something different.

I installed my 8" with the resonator. Really easy job. Never heard it without the resonator, but with it on it sounds great. IMHO it is not very loud at all, my wife hasn't even noticed. That said I'm used to driving bikes with single glass cans, and have had borlas on other cars before so I guess I am used to a bit louder.

Keith if you are following I'm going to follow-up as I'm getting a slight vibration in the floor at 2500 or so rpms. Not really a drone, not that big a deal, I'm assuming I need to tweak something slightly. I also have the under-back-seat storage in place where you have to cut out the sound dampening, and that could certainly be the reason.
