I just received and installed DD sport fogs. Really happy with these.

Did you have to modify your wiring to turn on fog lights only? My fogs won’t turn on without my headlights on.

The sports are the “regular” ones. Looks like he installed the sports.

Sports. It’s not as bright as BD but the beam is more focused so the brightness on the focused part is brighter on the dd. Cutoff is really clean. I think the pros would be good too. The sports are sufficient w the oem led headlights. They act as a filler for low and to the sides.

Yes. I believe it was called eddies fog mod? It’s on here somewhere just search.

you should get the pros. Now that I know how well DD controls their light pattern I think the pro would be good on the streets.

No problems with my Pros on the streets. I kind of like the “softer” cut off since it gives a better transition of where the fogs drop off intensity and the low beams pick up.

Man after reading all 27 pages of @iHacker thread for the LED headlights, I shifted my attention to fog lights, read all the posts about the ridgid, that led me to another rabbit hole on my old tacomaworld forum and read everthing that @crashburn80 post about all the testing he's done on fog lights, how informative that was !!: learned all kind of things about fog lights/LED's that I literally new nothing about 24 hrs ago, I flicked over to page 117 of his thread to see what was being discussed lately came up on these diode dynamics SS3's figured I would jump back to tundras.com and see if there was any discussions here and hear I am!!

From one rabbit hole to another to another and back where I started!

I like the idea of a plug and play solution not having to fab any brackets and aim the fog lights; last thing I want is to blind other drivers like some idiots around here with led bulbs in regular housings.

Now this is a total newb question: whats the main advantage of amber fog light VS. white?, I do live in canada so there is snow and lots of it.

Thanks in advance for your help

Just got these in the mail. However both the brackets were labeled RH. I flip it but the wings are of different length. The correct side has the longer wing on top while the other at the bottom. Those have installed did that matter? Havent been able to pull my fogs off yet to see.

Shouldn’t matter. Once you pull the stocks you’ll see it fits fine. Mine have two dog ears on each side too.

this thread was informative. I ended up buying a set of SS3 amber sport fogs when they had the Christmas discount. super easy install, but aiming them kinda sucked. were you guys able to aim them while they were installed? I had to remove them, adjust, re-mount, repeat.

Yea. Just snug them up pretty good before you put them in the mounting bracket. Once it is in, you can still adjust them easily by physically moving them from the backside.

Nice! If you are on a level surface here, I'd recommend trying to angle them down a bit further. Otherwise looking good!

Was going to install the SS3 Pro's on my Tundra and saw that I had to remove some plasticware to get at the rear of the stock foglights. Can someone list out those steps? That would be cool.

Installed some new hot smoked headlights on my son's Protege3 and had to take the whole puking bumper off. The friggin air filter on my Gold Wing requires you to disassemble the whole top of the bike to replace that. What it is with these mechanical engineers and designers that they can't make servicing and upgrades easier????

Can one of you good folks help out with a DIY with pix?
