Digital Rear View Mirror

Anyon have any info on this mirror? Can't find it on any packages/options or trim specs. Wonder if it is standard on any of the upper trims. No info on the Pro yet so maybe it is Pro exclusive. Seems like it would be an option or standard at least on the Platinum/1794. Sorry if this has been discussed. Too many pages to look thru and no luck searching. Thanks

 

Check the brochure. Standard on Platinum/1794/TRD Pro. Available in a package (maybe advanced tech or something) on SR5 and Limited.

 

It’s listed as an available option on the limited but I don’t see anything in any package that list how you can get it. ???

I believe you are right (its a pain trying to navigate all the specs and options on the Mac). PRO gets homelink, one thing I will miss in my new Tundra

Toyota states it’s available as part of an option package on limited. Anybody see it listed in any of the option packages??? My best guess is perhaps it’s included with the PVM system, that includes all the cameras for the bird’s eye view on the display. But nothing actually states u get the digital rear view in that package.

 

Here is an SR5 that has the pano and digital rear view- two items Toyota says isn't on the SR5.

That tool also says the pano roof isn't available on the Limited which it is. Toyota has some of the most inconsistent data points I've ever seen. Either their tools are wrong or their reviewer trucks were overly optioned to attract folks.

 

Not production vehicles those are the fake ones that Toyota put together for people to review online can’t trust anything that’s on that truck

 

Thank you! Crazy, when I go to Toyota's build site and select a model and then click on "compare models, it does not show that as an option. I can't seem to find the Interior features that u posted. But clearly shows it in the link u posted. thanks again.

 

The next issue is figuring out what package you can get it with (as others have stated)

 

I think that video (and most others) were shot at some Toyota open house. Most videos state they are ‘prototype’ and some options reflected may not be actually available with said trims. I think most of us know more than the bloggers and YT’ers.

 

I figured the prototype caveat was trim pieces and certain things like the door panels and consoles. Showing options on something it can’t have is deceiving.

 

I agree. I think most buyers will not be watching all the videos people post up and will never face our confusion with options/trims.

 

True. Luckily they can find the options on the accurate spec sheet or comparison tool…….oh wait

 

It’s very confusing when u watch the videos and gets worse when you talk to a dealer.
PVM, and Tow mirrors were the only options I could not get on my build. Dealer told me at time off-road limited won’t allow PVM together.
Hopefully this is all temporary and after rolling out the first wave of vehicles the options will be more clear at dealerships and online
What I need is a picture or a video of a limited off-road that someone has taken delivery of, the digital mirror has 3 small buttons on each side of mirror that if your looking for them u can clearly see.

Tim has the digital rear view shown in the video when he picked up his limited off-road, I reached out to him it’s not listed in any of the packages on his truck, he thought it may be a standard option. TFL truck guys have a limited off-road that has regular mirror.
I’m thinking Toyota has just mislabeled one of the packages and omitted the digital mirror in the description.
Tim was reaching out directly to Toyota and advised he will post a video when he gets an answer. He puts out some good information.

I thought I was pretty good and finding info on the new Tundra. In this case I am coming up with nothing.

All I know is that SR and SR5 don't get it. The Limited CAN get it but only on an option package.

Every single option package I have seen for the Limited doesn't list it.

Remember when it was indicated by Toyota that the SR5 does not come with the vertical rear window? We all know now that it in fact does.

Even the official product sheet on their website STILL says the vertical rear window it is not on the SR5. Unbelievable.

It didn't help that early Youtube reviewers were given trucks to review that clearly were prototypes.

 

agreed, when I placed my order back in late October I wanted the truck in that video, SR5 Crew Max Long Bed TRD Sport with 14 inch screen, dealer actually showed me order sheets and literature from toyota that the SR5 would not come with the Crew Max and Long Bed in a TRD Sport and that the 14 inch display was not available in the SR5 at all. I dont know if you can get TRD sport in a Crew Max long bed or not but I see a lot of 14 inch screens in SR5s, what a difference a month or 2 can make. dealers have know clue what they are getting or how they will get them.
