Before I bought my '24 Limited, I rented one from Toyota to make sure I liked it prior to spending $$$. The rental had a pretty loud differential whine at part throttle under load. That rental only had 5000 miles on.

I then drove a brand new one and it was quiet. So I figured it was an anomaly. I then bought my Limited crew cab non-hybrid.

No noise at first, but the more miles I put on it the louder it gets. I have about 1600 miles and the thing is whining away at higher freeway speeds. Not acceptable !!

Front drivers wind noise is unbearable. Is it just a design flaw? Unbelievable for a $60k truck. I retract the mirrors at freeway speed, no change.

I've read many comments on this, but what is the real fix, if anything?

Seems like you're just an unhappy Jerk and one that could not afford the Limited. Now go chase some kids off your lawn, assuming they have grass at the trailer park you live in !!

Do you have an open diff, or is it a limited slip? Based on what I've read, the wind noise is par for the course.

See the links I posted above in this thread, it's regarding exact issues you're experiencing. You may need to do some convincing of your dealer..

It was only an SR5 OR, but I sold it to fund an HD. Maybe this truck is why @vtl thinks I no longer own a turd Gen?

    IMG_7872_Original.jpg

And guess what? It had all the major 3rd Gen issues lol. Wind noise. Seat cracked in like the first month. Radio knob fell off.

Ye olde Trailer Parke Truck has none.

It seems to be a crap shoot. I have a 2022 1794 and have experienced ZERO of the common issues. Love my truck and would buy another tomorrow

my only bitch with it is the top trims came with tow mirrors in Canada when first launched , which I do not want. Just got a pony up and change them out

I'm sorry. I forgot you have to have an extra turd Gen, just in case one of them turns into a metronome.

Us Canadians don't need to worry about any of the Gen 3 issues. Toyota sent all the good trucks up here! :) And we have some good bacon too!

I touched my radio knob for the fourth time, yesterday. Still don't understand how people are breaking something that never needs to be used.

The Wokes have me tilted 24/7……..blame them. Also our Prime Minister is an absolute idiot which doesn’t help.

I would like to say I will do better, but that would be an out right lie….and I hate liars lol

It's called "hammer hand" being rough with everything. I've had my 2022 for 1.5 years now and adjust volume several times per each drive, and the volume knob is smooth and solid

Idk if you can tell or not, but I baby everything I own - especially my trucks. That volume knob is just something else - a special snowflake like Fidel Castro’s Canadian son.

I would personally take it to the dealer.
But, as @Eurodriver stated, the SR is the way to go. Makes my trailer and trailer park look fancy.
