I moved mine all the way forward to squeeze the gasket similar to what it looks like in the back, but I can’t get the cover closed without standing on it. When I back the brackets off a bit, it looks uneven. Frustrated.

I think the front gasket is causing that. Thats why I havent put mine. Even though my bed has the bed cover coating like the Rhino. It doesnt leak. Its been raining like crazy and no water ingress so far.

Try it. You can also find other types of gaskets if need be.

Glad to see a silver one. That’s the color I want to get, especially in the Phoenix area.

Very pleased with Diamondback! Couple days ago saw another aluminum colored Diamondback installed on a white Chevy Pickup, looked good! Also installed chrome Tundra letters on the tailgate, looks good with aluminum color Diamondback.

Is the LineX coating the standard or the UV coated premium?

Premium. Holds up extremely well. I've had mine baking in the desert sun for over 4 years and it still looks great!

So I'm driving home on I-95S from DC yesterday and to my surprise I see a Diamondback HD on a Tundra and I swear I've seen the license plate on this site somewhere, something like "OnTheFly" or similar. Anyway, I tell my wife "look honey there's the cover I want to get" she says," it looks like something military grade" I said "Exactly" lol

Crome mag polished (only thing that works on aluminum) 16 years of tarnish off the side boxes a few months backs. Very tedious work, but the results are nice.

I think I have settled on the HD. It will be better for me than a topper, better looking and less cash. I can get the HD for about $1,800

Don't forget to add the shipping cost in your 1800. Shipping the DB should be cheaper if you pick up at the shipper's depot. dbboxontruck.jpg

Installed a Diamondback cover November 2017. Towed our travel trailer over 10,000 miles since installation. Really like Diamondback's easy access to to camping gear wherever located in the pickup bed and keeping gear dry. Diamondback cover makes setting up and knocking down camping rig, easy. Diamondback is a "Keeper" for our Tundra/camping rig.

Here’s my contribution. I’ll have to admit the negative post Fromm Rexx got me worried but mine came out great.

Things not sitting flush or not opening right would drive me nuts and annoy me considering the HD is 1800. Stuff like that bothers me when you pay good money for a product and have to constantly adjust. At least now I can mentally prepare for ‘adjustments’ if I got my own and wouldn’t start doubting the install process once things don’t look right.

It's not the quality of the product, it is the nature of the product that requires "adjustments." You want an over-engineered, high-quality, water-tight seal, right?
