anyone know how low the locking mechanism hangs on the diamondback HD?

With the 3.5” height of the slide (low profile cargoease) and a yeti 75, am I going to hit the bar that locks the top? The yeti is 18” so it has a whopping 1/2 inch to clear. Not sure if removing the feet on the cooler will help...

    http://cargo-ease.com/homepage/cargo-slides/opa/

Looking at possibilities before I get to a topper.

Coincidence, I have a DB and a Yeti 75. There is a bit of clearance when the DB lid down but not much - I usually throw a life jacket or two on the Yeti.

Hate to side track but I’d never seen that slide and totally digging it. Pricing obviously not reflected on their website, but do you all have a general idea, by chance? (Thanks in advance)

How much is bit? 4+ inches?

I know it’s fit by itself but I want a slide to get to all my gear. Also, I’ve seen the locking bars go on an angle down to the tie down rails but also straight with an S-bend at the rail end. I’m wondering which version is newer and if they hang down and block below the top of the bed? With so little margin for error I would want to be sure.

    Thanks for the help

It’s nasty expensive at 2300 Canadian so likely 1700-1800 US. There are many cheaper options if you can go with a little higher profile by the same company that look similar. The reason I’d get that one is the height of it.

Many thanks, jpod - actually not as bad as I suspected. Higher stance would be doable, but the problem is same as your dilemma- have my sights on a DB. :annoyed: Ive also got an RTIC 65 so sounds like I’d be fine in that department. Saving the monies for the DB but may have to start a separate fund for the slide now.....d@mmit!
    C’moooooooooon, Santa!!!!

You may also want to call DB customer service. They are a small company and you may end up talking with an owner. They can probably give you exact measurements for what you need.

Another option: @mgm16trdpro has a DB and a bedslide. Knowing Mike he probably has a Yeti 75 too. Mike?

Here are some pics. I have a line-x bedliner, and a rubber bed mat in the truck for reference and clearance. Those pieces of foam on top the cooler are 1.5 inches each. The DB rails have a little play in them, so you may be able to get the cooler in there, but you may need to stick it in the middle.

Good luck man. I should be home all weekend if you need anything else’s measured. Not sure what you really wanted so I just took a stab at some measurements.

    Sorry for getting back late.
I've been dealing with a ton of these lately. Yup that's water shooting about 30 ft up in the air with the valve turned down almost all the way lol. More work than sleep.

Mine is a HD with the ATV package. If you dont need that or don't want the rails, then just order a HD which will look identical without rails, or a SE will have less tie downs, think 4.

Hope this helps, dont hesitate if u got any questions.
