I wondered about that - the tow hooks. I am not sure it makes it a scam. If that is the only thing that is not accurate I can live with it.

Congrats if this is actually real. Glad they were nice enough to throw in 6 Gallons of gas to sweeten the deal. ;)

What is the msrp? What if it's over 65k or 70k, is there a limit you're willing to pay?

My momma always said if it sounds to good to be true it normally is.

But all joking aside just be careful and proceed with caution. (Have a plan to get back home if the deal falls through)

Came with all the lane departure and that stuff, electric tail gate lock, fog lights, 20s, sprayed on bed liner, tint, cat protector, and that’s about it??:)
Six gallons of gas??? WTH is that!! Every dealer in the world fills up the vehicles and I’ve seen it where if you come back in a week or so they would fill it again!! If it is to good to be true well it’s a duck!!!!!!????:) something does not seem right,, while every other dealer in the world is charging everything they can this one and only one is not??

That is why I posted it. I wanted to get thoughts/responses. They took a 500.00 deposit. Fully refundable. They emailed me back the receipt of the deposit and they wrote on the receipt prior to emailing me the copy "refundable". Worse case scenario - I am out 500.00. If the MSRP is crazy I walk away, hopefully with my deposit in my hands.

Even if legit, would you seriously buy such an expensive vehicle without a test drive? I certainly would not.

Other then telling you there would be no market adjustments or dealer fees, they didn't quote you the actual OTD price before they took your deposit, Is that correct?

I don’t see how that’s not over msrp. But 18” wheels with the trd? I thought that was the size for the sr5 off road package only?

They can't give him an OTD price as they don't know the msrp yet. I do believe higher up executives already know the cost at least within a few dollars(they may still be negotiating with suppliers over a few bucks)

The TRD off road on the 1794 has 20 inch. The TRD trim is 18" with 33's.

I will test drive it when I go in to complete the sale. If I don't like it, I walk and hopefully they honor the refundable deposit statement. Tomorrow I plan to do as much research I can regarding buyers that have used this dealership for any purchase. Not just last year tundras. If they don't fill up the tank they don't fill it up. Not a deal breaker.

I believe someone else started a thread on this forum of dealerships not charging above MSRP. Not sure how many have made the list.

Here we go with dealers posting allocations and selling trucks they have no idea on pricing or options yet.

Its one thing to post not charging over MSRP, but selling trucks already to people with no price/options? Hell they even got the options wrong on this 1794 in this post.

Just wait until pricing is released, we will see a whole lot of deposits being refunded when dealers add their ADM or "dealer installed options". Then they wait for the next person willing to pay to play.

Pretty sure that's a standard of some sort. When I bought my 2021 the window sticker said 6 gallons (though it was full when I got it). I think they have to ensure some minimum of gas at purchase.

What love is that and correct me if I am wrong, the Platinum Toyota Care. Doesn’t Toyota advertise all there vehicles with free Toyota Care. But you are paying for it, $699 to be exact. I am on my 3 new tundra and I didn’t notice it till I bought my 2nd one and saw it on the 3rd one also. It’s on the window sticker. So why does Toyota make it seem in all their commercials that they are doing it for free?
And I have always gotten a full tank of gas. I guess Toyota pays for 6 and the dealer pays for the rest if they choose to fill it up.

I find it funny that the standard is 6 and am curious how it came about. Sounds like the dealership picks up the rest.

I am baffled at exactly what you think this says?

You gave a deposit towards whatever amount that Toyota decides to sell the truck for and extras that you will be buying too but you have literally no idea what that number is,correct?

My thoughts are good luck I guess?

    Nothing from nothing equals nothing.
