DECKED's New Standard Model & Price Change

Most everyone here is most likely familiar with DECKED Drawer Systems or have heard of them. What you may not have noticed is that the price changed a little bit and its for good reason. Effective immediately all DECKED Drawer Systems come standard with the D-BOX, Drawganizer, CrossBox, and 2 of the Wide Drawer Dividers. The goal here is to truly maximize the usefulness of your bed and the DECKED System. Below is a link that further illustrates the new items that now come standard with every single DECKED Drawer System.

DECKED's New "DECKED Out Package" - The New Standard

As always if you have any questions on this or any other product, never hesitate to reach out and ask! This is not as much of a review as it is an overview of the new standard components included by DECKED.

Interesting. Ive been trying to talk myself into a decked system for 2 years. I just cant seem to do it, the bed becomes so shallow that anything back there will need to be tied down...

here is the situation that keeps turning me away. Loading up the trailer, the bikes wouldn’t be able to sit in the bed and hang over the tailgate...

At my work some of the trucks are fitted with this system. Some have had watertight issues - the drawers hold water very well though so a couple guys had tools frozen in the drawers. A couple have broken the plastic, don't know how harsh they were to do so but it wouldn't be anything too harsh. And the drawers are sloped on the side a tiny bit so it makes it tricky to put multiple big bulky items in. The rollers in all of them work amazing, and its not like they don't get exposed to dirt. We do keep bundles of stakes, cases of spikes, or spray paint from time to time mostly not tied down and none have been blown out.

They definitely are good at what they do, but for myself in surveying they're not a better solution than custom built plywood dividers/drawers.

My decked system arrives today, hopefully it works out for me, I'll be loading it with tools(carpenter), camping, fishing, shooting stuff and mtb's.

    I love mine!

I’m going to be getting extra d-boxes and crossbox so I can just swap from work to play.

If you have the oem rail system you can always get a bike mount for it and let the bikes stand.
Just have to remove the front wheel.

That is what happened to mine. A couple of stumps and blam-o, leaky cracks. I haven't goten one for my crewmax yet, but I may if I can find a good used one.

I'm wondering if it's sun damage to the plastics that hurts it to the point it becomes brittle enough. Maybe DECKED has changed the plastic a touch but I do notice a slight change in colour on the older boxes to the new ones, and it sure looks like sun bleaching.

could be. If I end up with another one it will be under my canopy so it shouldn't be a problem

Call me cynical, but what’s the advantage to the customer by taking away their choice? I’d rather have the lower price and be allowed to decide if I want to purchase additional accessories.

In full disclosure, I own a decked system and like it a lot. I just don’t understand the reasoning behind this move. I know they’re saying it’s better for the customer blah blah blah. As a customer, I’d still like a choice in the matter.

This also has been a mental battle back and forth. To Decked or Not To Decked, seems to be a real struggle out there.

Primary use for myself would be for camping trips out - keeping my recovery gear primarily in the deck vs on the totes on my roof.

It’s good for storage but yes makes it inconvenient loading anything on top.
