    It doesn't really fit. In the box anyways. I had to trim the end of the box to get the boxed unit in the back of the Crew Max bed. Better than rolling with the gate down and now I can leave it in while at work all day.

    I had one, and it was a very well-built product and customer service can't be beat. I did struggle with the fact that the drawers are only 3/4 extension. Having to take out the middle drawer contents to get to the back got a little old. They state this is due to the weight rating that comes with the drawers (which is great!), but full-extension or closer to it would be awesome. I would even have have paid more for the drawers if they raised prices to offset the cost of full extension slides. After all that I only got rid of it because I needed some full-depth bed space. If @DECKEDUSA ever comes out with a "closure piece" that allows you to run half of a bed of decked drawers, I'll get one again.

    We do not offer a carpeted top for the DECKED system
    Thanks for the support. We appreciate it :cool:

    It's certainly a snug fit with the box. Can't wait to see more pics after you install!

    :santa::fingerscrossed:

    We appreciate the feedback on the DECKED system. We'll keep this feedback in mind as we continue to improve our products. It would require a big redesign for full extension

    @pbcolt ,

    I wanted to provide more details as to why we don't offer a drawer with full-length extension.

    It's simply an engineering feat if not an impossibility to get full extension using wheels instead of slides - which bend, bind, and are clunky. Wheels never bind.

    We did create the D-Box for easily storing items along the entire length of the drawer. This gives you the ability to have maximum usable space and fill-up the end of the drawer.

    DECKED | D-Box

    [IMG]

    The D-Box is great for stuff you don't always need, but when you need it, you NEED it. Here is a hack that some customers love!
    Hack: Run the back D-Box without a lid and use it as a bin. You can toss miscellaneous items in there and access without having to pull the D-Box out and open the top.

    The DECKED D-Box is built to work and born to party! :cheers:

    And you guys taking the time to write this is exactly why if in the future it makes sense for me to have in-bed storage you will be the first ones I go to. Absolutely stellar customer service.

    Is there anything on the horizon for a half-bed system? Another company not-to-be-named makes one but they start at $2,100!!:eek2:. I'm sure I am oversimplyfing this 100% but making a piece that mates to the "zipper" middle portion of the drawers and then bolts to the bed would work...?

    A half-bed system isn't in the works but it's certainly possible for the DIY'er!

    We don't have any engineering to support this project and it would void our warranty. The center would need to be stabilized in the bed and the system wouldn't be weatherproof. Water intrusion would be a concern if you're not running a camper shell or tonneau cover

    Of course! Call or email us and we'll happily get an order going
    208-806-0215; orders@decked.com :thumbsup:

    Thanks for the support! If you have a pic or two of your DECKED system we'd love to see them.

    WHAT IS HDPE AND WHY DO YOU USE IT?

    DECKED spent 18 months investigating materials that would work. HDPE is a common material that, when formed with DECKED’s proprietary tools and process, results in an unusually durable, rigid and weatherproof system. We add a UV enhancer to the material to protect it from the sun’s harmful rays. When this material is precision formed, meticulously engineered, and supported by a steel sub frame, the result is DECKED.

    After having a bed full of snow melting in the back of my truck for the past 4 days I am happy to report that the inside of my Decked system is completely dry! Added weight of the Decked system and snow also meant that I didn't have to add any weight fro traction to get around.

    I like it. I think truck vault is a great product--and more secure. However, for where I live and my purposes [coupled with a locking tailgate], I actually like Decked better for the price. I like the look and strength too.

    Lock up your tools, hardware, and other valuable gear with our drawer lock and key system for added security. Lock cams have been thickened to resist bending which can disengage lock cam from striker. Steel brace stiffens cam to prevent disengagement from striker reinforcement. Two identical keys per order.
