Hey everyone, Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue. Installed a new set of Deaver U748's around a month ago. I currently have around 425-450 lbs in/on the bed with my Go Fast Camper (300lbs) and other stuff. The Deavers are sagging down to 24" and 24.25" from hub to fender which is stock height unfortunately. These leafs are built to hold 400-600# at 2", 400-550# at 2", or 400-500# at 2" depending on what shop you talk to.

Regardless I don't have that much weight in the bed that they would drop all the way to stock and was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue with them? The deavers perform very well in every area, but unfortunately don't hold the weight.

Ben at Filthy Motorsports has been super helpful and we're trying to figure out the issue with Deaver and he even spoke with GFC to confirm the weight. Any inputs are appreciated!

I'm only a month into these things and roughly 1000 miles, so hopefully not that quick!

I used the total chaos shackles that filthy motorsports sent with the leafs. They're 3/4" and was told they were made to be used with the deavers.

I saw a couple people had used them and Ben recommended them. Just not sure what's going on with the leafs.

Total day to day with the camper and other stuff its about 425. Loaded for a trip I'm sitting right at 600-615. I always knew that the leafs would sag getting close to 600, but sagging to just over/right at stock at 425 doesn't make sense to me.

Stuff happens. Last year posed some challenges for Deaver I think. I got a set of I96 leafs that were/are completely wrong. I drove in and had Jeff take a look at the ride height and he said, "Oh, that's wrong." I'm taking 'em back to Jeff this week to have them "fixed". I know there was another set at the same time with the same problem. You might wanna talk to Jeff directly.

Ben has been really great about talking with Deaver and asking questions and I've been making measurements to send to them. I'm up in WA, so driving down to Deaver isn't something I could do easily. I'm hoping that they might send me a different leaf that I could put in the middle to fix it, but I'm not sure if thats something they could do. Sort of an add-a-leaf I guess.

Definitely not upset at Deaver though, just want to get it figured out is all.

The other I96 packs that I mentioned were fixed in AZ with the addition of a couple of leafs and a re-arch at Valley Spring. Just mentioning this because the addition of leafs could be a solution for you.

Deaver ended up sending me another leaf to add 1" saying thats all they can add to a U748 pack. Figured I'd try it out. Only thing is no directions if it is a replacement leaf for one of them or an add a leaf, so I've got to figure that out with them before install.

yes, call them when you get the extra leaf and about to install. They will walk you through the process.

I visited with Jeff and Scott on Thursday. They're both super nice, I'm impressed every time I visit them. Jeff really does have a boat load of integrity.

Yeah I reached out and they gave me instructions on how to utilize them. It's an add a leaf and not replacement leafs. A little frustrated at first with them with the leafs not working as designed and pointing fingers, but I get it and have been very happy with the customer service.

Got the leaf installed today. Raised the rear about 1.25" with the same weight which I'm happy with. Not the 2", but don't care as much about that as I do the leafs holding the weight.
