    Hey guys.

Hope this isn't a repeated thread. Tried doing some searches and came up with nothing.

I want grab a set of amber DD SS3 fogs but I'm not sure what the real difference in output is between the Sport and Pro series. I drive with my fogs on a bunch because of no streets having lights. Currently the Sports are $200 and the Pros are $320. Are the pros worthy of extra $120? Just looking for some opinions based on anyone's experience with them.

    Thanks in advance!

Tacomaworld has a thread with loads of information on them there... but the summary is the PRO's have a taller beam pattern and slightly more intensity. Sports have a sharper cutoff with less light bleed above the cut off (the bleed on the pros is still low enough to satisfy DOT/SAE requirements). Both sport and pro have a wide beam pattern, but depending on your bumper (if aftermarket) that may or may not have as much of a noticeable effect.

You'll want to think of how theyll interface with your low beams. I have retrofitted headlights running denso powered CBI's, i went with the sports since they have a sharper cutoff.

Thanks for the advice. I ordered a set of gtr ultra 2 LEDs to replace the stock halogen bulbs from HR. The cutoff looks great for being in reflectors. I definitely don't want the fogs to blend much with the lows but it seems aiming them down could fix that if I went with the pros.

So much awesome info in that thread! Im definitely getting the amber ones and might switch out for the clear lens occasionally. In your experience, if I were to aim the pros down a little farther than you have them do you think they'd bleed less into the lows? The gtr ultra 2s should have about the same or better light output with the lows.

Im sure it would. They’ll still over power the low beams though on most of the foreground light. But that’s favorable in my opinion.

Yea. I'm gonna go check out a set of sports and pros and see what I like better. I'm still learning toward the pros at the moment tho.

Next job is getting the tail, reverse, cargo, and interior lights swapped. Thinking about adding VLEDs puddle light too!

Pros hands down! Just installed mine. I rarely get impressed with stuff.. but these lights? Oh my goodness I was speechless. This is EXACTLY what I wanted. I can see every inch in front of me without a problem. They over power my led headlights by a lot. You won’t regret. Go big or go sport? Lol
Pros ftw. (I’m bias, never looked at sports)

Rx350 retrofitted, Morimoto Led fogs. interior and exterior leds swap. TRD drop in filter. Carbon filter delete. Led DRL panels. TRD Shift knob.
    I'd say, pro. That's what I want.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I might be making a trip to Roman's Neo Garage since I'm pretty close by to check them out. Hopefully it's possible to do that soon! Definitely leaning towards the pros.

I went for the Pro’s and got them installed tonight. After watching a couple videos on how to not break the darn panel bracket, yep…I broke it.

The stock LED fogs weren’t bad, but the DD SS3 are another level. Needed to add the zip ties to lock everything down. It took longer to remove/install the panels then replace the lights.

Welcome! Beautiful lights. I know you can't aim those lights too much but you aimed them very nicely!
