    Hi,

2011 MGM DCLB 5.7 w/Softopper, 5100's, Bora Spacers, 275/70R18 AT3 XLTs and some other small bits.

I've been lurking for a while as a Tundra owner, but kinda swore off/got too annoyed by most people on forums many years ago - so generally stay away.

Perfect example is a the 50 post minimum to list something in marketplace. What good does that do? I actually came here to post my truck for sale as it's a DCLB with some tasteful upgrades that I thought folks here would appreciate. But I ain't got time to fake 50 posts to list it for sale. I digress.

    Welcome…

I belong to many forums that have similar rules. And I believe the 50 minimum is there to get the members a chance to know the “new” member and especially their truck which is beneficial to you (because your selling). There are a lot of scams these days and the moderators and fellow members are generally on the lookout for that. Hence generally speaking those 50 posts aren’t worth the trouble to the scammer…

Good luck with the sale OP!

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! Good luck with the sale of your truck, but be honest with yourself. Would you trust a stranger on the street coming up to you offering to sell you his truck? This is not a classified ad forum. It's a users forum.

Thanks. I guess I don't see how that is any different than how lots of people buy cars via CL/FB/Cars.com and so on. You see something that matches your desired configuration, price point etc. - and go look at it, hoping to get a read on something in a short amount of time. You make a judgement after meeting the seller, reviewing the documented history, and take a leap. That's used cars.

I understand this is a user forum. I have an 87 FJ60, 89 SAS Pickup Crawler, and 3rd Gen 4R beater. I've mostly lurked on those associated forums for years. Just because I don't feel the need to blab blab blab in a thread about tire size doesn't mean I'm not a trustworthy seller or contributor, and hence why the 50 post requirement seems a little extreme.
