So I have been using my sunshade frequently and I guess I got a little rough with it putting it in/out with the heat and the tape/foam is coming up.

The pictures don't show it real well but does this dash piece up front just pull out where I could re-apply the foam or does it involve taking the dash all apart whereby I just need to have Toyota fix it the next time it's at the shop?

It's just out of warranty. '16 with 39k miles. I will see if they can do some policy assistance but I'm guessing I'm going to have to foot the bill.

Exact same problem started on mine today with 2,000 miles lol.. I was able to push it back somewhat and I'll bitch about it at my first service. Two things:

    1. Seems like such a cheap install and material. Guess I didn't really expect this so soon.

    2. What exactly is it's purpose? Doesn't appear to go across the entire gap so not weather stripping??

What was your fix for it? Stealership hook you up?

My dealer replaced it under warranty policy. Much better now.

Thanks..I'll bring it up with my dealer at my next service. Did they replace it with the same material?

It appears a tad different. It's thicker but it may be the same and just looks different because it's new.
