Can someone please tell me what the Dasaita dongle is for?

Ok, I've installed my Dasaita Max6 and now my Fortin remote start just cranks and never starts. Anyone know how to fix this? Also how do I get my factory rear view camera working?

 

So somehow the canbus disabled or messed with the immobilizer?
As far as the rear view camera, i think you need to find the reverse signal wire for the car itself. Tap into that and connect that to the reverse wire on the radio. Right now the radio is not seeing the car is being put in reverse, no reverse signal.

 

Ok I found a wire that is powered when in reverse but my camera doesn't come on. The screen changes and shows the lines but no camera.....

 

That mean its not getting video signal. Your canbus should have a reverse or back up yellow rca(male). Plug that yellow rca to the other yellow rca label same but female rca. If you still arent getting picture, chances are the canbus is not putting out 6v to power up the camera. If it put out 12v it wont work.
Before digging in too deep.
Try going into the radio setting and see of backup camera is turn to ON. Just to be sure.

 

I have it connected to 12V. I will reduce it down to 6V and see.

 

Well I reduced it down to 5v and nothing. Also I have screwed up something and now my Home button on the left side turns the unit off and all the other buttons don't do anything. All my apps are jacked up too. If I open an app a different app opens. WTH?

 

I would contact the seller before you do the factory reset.
When you put it in Reverse, the hu go to black screen?
Some how your camera is not turning on and not feeding video signal to the hu.

 

Can you post photo of your harness? How you hook it up?

 

I'm not even working on the camera now. I'm trying to get my screen and side buttons to work again. Some apps open and some open like the screen is opening the apps on the opposite side of the screen

Also, if you decide to factory reset. You should read this first. It's the first post saying how to enable certain apps that will be hidden after factory reset.
So try that if you do factory reset.

I still can't get backup camera to work. I hope they sent the correct harness.

Yeah, let's hope they fix that harness issue for you. Frustrating im sure. Im currently working on decoding the backup camera pin out. I think i have an idea. If your new harness show up and it doesnt fix the problem. You may have wire it up yourself. Like that 5star audio youtube vid i posted in my thread i started. I hope you dont have to do that. Other people on here didnt have to, they all said its plug n play. So Dasaita had to mess up the harness.

 

I think you need to buy this to make your camera work.
**see post 21 below**

Plug 1 end to your truck. The other end to the dasaita harness.
Plug male yellow rca from this harnes into the female yellow rca from the dasaita harness.

Connect the reverse wire from the truck to the dasaita harness. Which you've already done.

Now connect the other two wires from this harness according to their instructions.

That should fix your backup camera issue.

Correction, you actually want to get this one. Not the above. This one have the build in 6v converter.
