If I remember right this is a two way breather so putting this up there instead of the stock one should suffice just like putting an ARB. Or just get a small k&n breather filter if you want to be fancy. No need to get ARB if you already ran it up there.

Ooo I like saving money LOL.

Once I saw the ARB kit I saw that it came with everything. I didn’t want what I did to be a waste of time so I was just looking for a universal ARB breather. But this seems like a better idea. Plus I like Toyota parts.

    Thanks for replying

Tagging along. I should have mine very soon.

Any reason you decided to install there vs the card holder near the center console?

I can in a bit. I tied into my LED DRL’s fuse tap for the ignition. Ground I just used one one of the body grounds on the driver side. For 12v power fuse tap I just used a empty fuse spot in the fuse box.

Sorry to bug you, but can you clarify something for me?
The instructions state that you need to connect Ground, Lights and Ignition...

So the LED DRL you connected is your "Lights" wire?
    Ground is Ground, that's easy.
Ignition is the empty slot you mention above? Have you tested it to ensure that it doesn't have power when the ignition is off?

If you don't mind taking those pics, it would really help.

I used a fuse spot that does get power without the truck being on. Just in case of future needs. I.e: bed lights or lights when camping.

Ignition Wire goes to the LED DRL fuse tap I have for my 2018 headlight harness.

Light wire goes to a wire to detect when headlights are on so tap into you parking light wire.

Ok, I'm the first to admit that I'm super dense when it comes to electrical. I need things spelled out as if you were teaching a 5yr old. ;)

There are three wires. Ground went to ground... Probably inside the hood compartment.
Did your ignition go to the empty slot in the fuse box, or did it go to the LED DRL fuse tap?
Lights wire - Is this what went to the Empty slot or did it go to the LED DRL?

I would assume the Ignition went to the empty slot and Lights went to the DRL, but that is not what you stated above.
Btw, I like your idea of using a slot so that you can run camp lights etc without the vehicle being on... That's exactly what I want to do!

Red fuse tap for 12v went to an empty fuse spot in the main fuse box (I want power anytime). If you don't that, then you need to break out your volt meter to test what empty fuse spot doesn't have power when the truck is off.

Ground can go to any ground on the truck.

Ignition wire went to my 2018 LED headlight harness that has a fuse tap already. Did this because the DRL's only come on when the ignition is on.

Light wire goes to your parking light wire. Use the small bulb wire for your side amber marker light from your headlight.
