Antenna mount for HAM radio. I use a handheld radio right now and remove the antenna and use an external antenna.

One day. Main reason right now is to stop the magnetic one from being whacked by trees and falling off my roof every trip I'm on.

You can always plant it on the hood. @KevinK has like 500 antennas all over the place.

Nah. Up front on the bumper is a perfect spot. Works great.

I'd suggest you put yours on your hood for the next trip

I have my main one the the rack.
I’ve never had problems with the mag mount on the roof. If it happens to fly off the roof i’ll Put it on the hood.

My antenna is on my roof. It gets smacked off every trip that isn’t in open desert.

If it works, is it dumb?

The bumper mount is a good solution too, but is just missing the plane. Probably no biggie as long as people are close enough to hear you.

Hahaha! yeah, I did spend about the first five minutes trying to steer around it somehow. But that goes away pretty quick, and now I don't even see it until it shows up in a picture we take from inside the truck.

I'm looking at P&P skids pretty hard as well. They're actually tied for 1st w/the SDHQ ones.

Edit: Err, not skids. Sliders. I'm looking at Bud Built skids.
