Kevin, it's good you started this thread. Any potential tire issue should be posted here. I didn't intentionally mean to diminish your experience with your set of AT3's. That's what this forum is all about. Sharing info.

The Courser's are a reasonably priced tire that gets decent reviews for its price point. I've had Nitto Trail Grappler M/T's. Expensive and wasn't impressed at all with them.

    I meant to say NOT...

My mom's 2013 Nissan Murano came with them factory, and I've been told they're junk.

I'm talking about the new Geo M/T's Charlie. Those wouldn't be on your mom's car. A few members here have the new Geo M/T's and seem to like them a lot!

I loved my GY Duratracs on my 09 Taco. I'm now curious about the Ultra's. Need pics and a good review after a few thousand miles:thumbsup:

I normally reserve non-Tundras for my thread on Tacomaworld, and sorry to chage the topic, but I came across this in the spectator parking lot at the same show where I saw the blue 1st Gen Tundy!

It's a stick shift too, and 99% sure it's a 4-banger. This truck has A/C and no other options, though someone added a CD/cassette radio from a 2001-2004 Tacoma...

How about Michelin Energy Savers? My dad's Yukon came with those, and I had them on my truck but they started to show signs of serious wear after a year and a half and maybe 15,000 miles...

Yep. Seen a few Yukon’s. 1 with less than 30k tires were at 5/32 and 3/32.

Never good to have issues, I had 3 experience that were similar to yours on the original Michelin tires. Got me BF wranglers and have had nothing but great experience with those.

4th hunting season on them and still pulls me through the mud and snow even with half the tread missing from normal wear and tear.

Uh oh, just got a set of AT3 4S for my sons truck. I think he'll be alright though. I've had ST Maxx and STT Pros on my '14 Tundra, not sure what I want to put on my '19. Factory 20" TRD sport wheels or my TRD OR 18".

I’ve got the at3 4s’s on my truck. Love em. They’ve done great in snow.
We have them on our work trucks too. They do great in sand and rocks. Our work trucks are about 80% off road.

I'm not sold on P rated tires on something like a Tundra. Was not happy having Michelin Ps on the truck when I bought it but was unsure what to get so kept them while I did some research. I found this site looking for tire reviews.
Was originally looking at the 4s but quickly discovered they are not LT (according to Cooper website) so dropped them off the short list. Almost went with Goodyear but a bad experience with them decades ago... I couldn't do it. So 50/50 BFGs which I had for decades before but thought I could do better (my they sure are noisy on the highway), or the Cooper XLT but I have never had Coopers before in over 40 years driving... Well, so far happy with the Coopers, happy with E rated tires, don't mind the small hit in gas mileage to get a beefier tire that is IMO a better fit for the truck and my needs. Just feel better about having LTs when I go off road.
But I am shocked that someone could have so many issues with the 4S.

The truck is certainly more stable with the LT’s now. Not as squishy in turns and less roll. My wife noticed a difference so luckily it’s not all in my head. I think I’ll be happy with E rated LT’s now.

Darndest thing about the Coopers and I have never had any issues with the brand till now. Honestly asked myself the same question.....how can I be having so many issues? Glad it’s resolved now though

I’ve heard great things about the AT3 XLT though.

What’s your thoughts on the ATP’s?

They look decent. I like the price and tread pattern looks better than the XLT. The sidewall is less aggressive looking but tread pattern looks slightly more aggressive.

They are great tires from what I’ve seen over the past 5 years I’ve been with Discount. No recalls, no consistent complaints.
I haven’t ran them on my own rigs but I honestly have never heard anyone say “I hate those damn things” like I have with BFG’s or Nitto’s.

I have a customer who travels from Austin to Houston every weekend in his early 2000’s Chevy 2500. He runs 285/70/17’s. He will only let me balance his tires. Says they run smooth up to 120mph on the toll roads.
I couldn’t make this shit up even if I wanted to.

Scuba & others, I have a 2017 Tundra the stock Michelins were gone at 41000. Discount tire warrantied them enough that I gave the newer defenders LTX M/S 265/70/18 a try. in the first 600 miles they have been balanced 3 yes that's right three times and I still get a shimmy at 60-75 especially when going down hill with little or no gas applied. I'm about to take them back and get something different but what. 95% is highway at 70-80 MPH rest around town. never off road and I demand a quiet ride. no snow to worry about in Ga but frog strangling rain is a regular occurance.
    Recommendations?
