I'm beginning to need to plan this out... I can easily see myself needing 6-8 for various lights etc. Doubt I would ever need more than that. Its a bit confusing regarding various manufacturers, options, customization, power modules etc. Would love to get perspectives, ...photos etc. Thanks as always!!

A little of this and a little of that.
You should go with an sPOD. If you’re not already planning to..

I hear great things about the sPOD, and also SwitchPros. If I was going to go with a MOFSET module switch panel I'd probably go with sPOD. I'm cheap though, and going for a "factory" look as well so at this point my plan is to build a custom fuse/relay panel and trigger them off switches from Air On Board. They have switches that fit in the factory Toyota slots and I've got plenty of blanks in the truck.

A little of this and a little of that.

My truck came with no blanks switch locations in it. They were all filled, so I had to cut a hole in my center console in front of the shifter.

Crap. Yall spend a lot of money on relays and switches. But it sure looks nice.

I have the SPOD setup with the switches replacing my sun glass holder. I love it, only thing i would do different is get the switches in Red.
I got blue which is too bright at night and kind of distracting.

I'm working on a solution to this problem with tundras. There is a thread on the forum from someone (i'll look it up and post a link) who created a 3d CAD model of the useless paper clip on the upper center console. I am currently working on modifying this model to house 6 accessory switches. It will be a custom 3d printed part that will fit the stock location on the upper center console. I'll keep you updated on my progress.

For those of you that are running your switches by your shifter, are yall running wires from behind the radio? I am having a hard time fishing the wires in from that angle.

https://www.otrattw.net/ Sells the same switches that come in the SPOD. I replaced mine with red. The last two will be blue once I finish the ARB compressor and locker.

nope. 2 lights in the switch: one for when you push the button and one for when you turn on the headlights and it illuminates like all other buttons.

picture was taken when I had the switch on but not the headlights on.

Nice! did you make the housing? Did you have to allow for enough room on the backside for the wiring? that upper console is shallow.

No I got the whole setup from SPOD.
    https://www.4x4spod.com/tundra_6_switch_panel_source_w_sunglass_holder_12_17_tundra
I believe they have 2 housings as the shape of the sunglasses holder changed for some reason so you'll want to confirm you've got the right one before ordering. I was amazed by their customer service truly top notch.
If you call they can customize the color of LEDs used in the switches, I then replaced the switch covers with from some I found on https://www.otrattw.net/.

The Spod link has a good photo of the connector and wiring you run under your headliner. Its a bit of a pain as you have to cut a hole to fit the connector, but all in all the worst part is going thru the firewall boot. I did this so I only had to go thru the boot twice. *The first time was for the NSV lightbar which comes with its own control unit below the radio.

Appreciate all the input..I'm guessing I will go with Spod. I definitely want switches that have the ability to be lit even when not turned on(two tone LED) and customizable with laser engraving or big enough selection for options. I'm a bit nervous about the ones where you put a sticker on it off a sheet of a bunch of options. Appreciate the many options and advocates out there.
