I've got a plain G5 19 with factory night sights and am considering customizing it or buying another to "trick out" leaving this one alone. Many thoughts running through my head like just ordering a MOS slide and adding an RMR with a lighter dissconnector, going full custom slide with barrel and frame etc. Or again leaving this one alone and buying another one as my blank canvas. Not wanting a race or competition weapon just something different and unique that I can still carry. I'd love to see pics and descriptions of mods.

    Thanks.

My open G17 that I built years ago, before you could buy them.

FWIW, I have 100K rounds through several Glocks and the only issues I've ever seen were on Glocks that had non factory parts. When it comes to carry Glocks I leave them as they came.

I may just either get a MOS or order a milled slide for my current 19 or even a factory Glock MOS slide and do a RMR with suppressor height sights keeping everything the same except for maybe a 3.5 connector. If I go with a slide I can keep the 19 I have and switch back and forth but at the same time I wouldn't mind having a second weapon, maybe even a 17, "tricked out". My G5 19 is the early version with the half moon cut on the front grip and no FS serrations and it's US made although that doesn't seem to matter. Just toying with ideas and would love to see some members customs.

Well to get started i just ordered a Wilson Combat 3.5 connector, WC 4.5# striker spring, and their flat performance trigger assembly. Thinking about their barrel just need to see how much goes into making it fit, one plus is im only 35 minutes from their facility.

I printed Wilson Combat's custom work sheet and I may take my 19 over there (since I'm 35 minutes away) and have their match stainless barrel fit and installed with flush cut and reverse crown, along with some frame work like stippling and trigger guard cuts. While I'm at it I may have the slide top serrated and a worn finish applied. Since guns are scarce I figure I'll just take the money I had to buy a new one and trick out my Glock. It'll wind up looking something like this.

One of my buddies just got one of these, ordered early Sept...arrived Tuesday

For the price tag...honestly...meh it didn't do much for me but if you know going in that you want a threaded barrel to run a suppressor and you know you're going to put an optic on it...then it's cheaper than starting with a 19 MOS and adding the barrel, frame work, trigger etc

The War Poet trigger felt a lot more meh than I expected and i really didn't care for the 2nd pull on the reset

I did really like the front slide cuts. Theyre probably some of the best I've felt.

I'll have to shoot it before rendering a final opinion but I couldn't have spent the money and been ok with it

Alternatively, a guy had a Gen 4 19 transferred in yesterday to my shop...his price tag after my $20 transfer fee was $873. For a 19 gen with 2 mags. $873.

I just saw it as a head start on a molded glock for the OP. I'm not a glock guy and wouldn't buy it. Never held one that I liked the feel of, and I feel you can get better/more features at their price point. CZ is essentially a glock with better features IMO.
Not surprised to hear about the trigger after watching John's video on not modifying triggers.

I put this G45 MOS together last week. I have giant hands, so the 19 was just a bit too small. My duty piece was a G23, had to use a mag extension to grip, and I've put thousands of rounds through it. I love Glocks, they just work. I don't change their internals, because they just work, well.

I put Suppressor height sights, black in the rear, tritium up front.
    An Adjustable 3.25 MOA RMR
The TLR-7A, with the high switch.
The only thing that tripped me up, was you need a special adapter plate that does not come with the MOS plates OR with the Trijicon RMR. It's the Glock MOS adapter plate for the RMR. It needs to be purchased separately, otherwise your screws on the slide will be too long.

If you want an RMR, have the slide milled. The MOS system isn’t very good. A direct mill is going to be much more solid. Plenty of shops will do milling plus cerakote for around $100-$150. A red dot, suppressor height sights and a light is about as Gucci as I get.

I second this. The MR920 by Shadow Systems is an awesome gun (what the War Poet model is based on). I recently purchased a 920 Combat with optic cut and threaded barrel and this thing is amazing.A6D6C55A-1AB0-4250-AECE-9AD2B0CEAAE5.jpg

DP Custom Works does some nice work. I have had my G17 and G19 done by him and very satisfied with both. I went pretty basic with G19 I think he called it the EDC package, mainly just extra serrations for grip. and with The G17 I went a little more custom with the serrations and and side windows(GAB 3.0 package). Went with black DLC on both, but he offers many coating options if you want to get crazy with it.

I picked up a Shadow Systems MR918 about 18 months ago and its become my favorite handgun.
I'm going this week to pick up a Blue Label G19 since my works transitioning to G19 in January.

I know where you can find a Combat 920. It’s black with the gold fluted barrel. If you want it we can have it to you in a few days time.

Just added a Olight Baldor RL in FDE to my MR918. Just sighted in the Red Laser today. Had to fit the holster to fit the light. Turns out the lense houseing is about 1/16" longer than a streamlight TRL1. Its now my official backup when I'm hog hunting.

    Lots of shenanigans.
This is my EDC. Bought a bone stock G19 Gen 4 MOS. Did a DIY stippling and double undercut. Sent the slide to jagerwerks to do some slide milling, open ports, and serrations. After that it went to blowndeadline for a custom cerakote job. I have an Apex flat trigger with a Frankenstein trigger internals (lots of different companies). Threw Ameriglo suppressor height sights and Trijicon RMR Type 2. I also have an extended mag release and an o-light PL-mini 2. Like I said, this is my EDC, I carry her appendix every day.
