    I use cash mostly when buying gas. Same for most purchases, unless I'm buying something online of course on a secure transaction (Got screwed doing that too with CARID.com)

    One of the tasks we do while on patrol is drive thru gas stations and check the card readers at the pumps looking for this type of stuff.

    In California we've been dealing with this stuff for a while now. Being a state where alot of tech comes out of I wouldn't be surprised if this started here. Besides those stickers another thing to look out for is what type of lock the pumps have on them. I believe I remember a report saying pumps that use locks that are locked up via the round circular type keys are harder to get into.

    Not exactly the same technology but in my hometown (which is Fairly small) police found a skimmer attached to a bank ATM. Kinda freaky to think thinks like that are happening here right under our noses. I hate using my card anymore, it's becoming too risky. But apparently I can't even use an ATM to get cash lol

    This kind of crap will only cost the consumer more, might even make life a little less convenient.

    Remember when gas and diesel was close to 5.00 per gallon? A lot of gas stations switched to pre-pay only, and some of them was going inside to pay.
