Figured it may be time to start my own build thread. It's been a pretty busy 10 months since I bought it used from a chevy dealer with 31k miles.

    As it sits now.

After Tundras to Sedona is when I decided it was time for midtravel. Broken Arrow was pretty fun in a stock TRD Pro

    Thank you all.

Living in Louisiana makes it a bit hard to test the suspension but here is a quick video attempting to.

So you bought it with stock PRO suspension, and added the 3.0 setup?

Yes, Stock Pro from the dealer. Guy who owned it before appeared to have only driven it on the street.

None as long as you don't mind a few scratches here and there. Only in one spot did I make a small amount of contact on the front lower bumper. Beyond that it was a lot of dragging hitch. Laid frame twice but wasn't to bad. Nothing a rattle can didn't fix.

@sdhq_offroad has some awesome sliders. Joey and Serena are a wealth of knowledge. Pelfreybilt's look good as well but drilling is required. For some that's a deal breaker. I like how sdhq's mounts up with no modifications. Solid as can be to. Did mine in a parking lot in about 2 hours.

Good looking truck. Can you share details on your ham radio and antenna install? I have the same Icom 2730a, it is a nice radio.

    Sure can,

There are 2 resistors on the board(quick google search should identify them for you). Desoldering/removing them opens up the transmit frequencies so that you could use murs, gmrs, frs, marine vhf and so on vs only the ham bands. I live in south louisiana and use the listening of Marine VHF heavily because of the many lift bridges that open and slow me down(Small area. Two main roads no blocks). So I can time whether or not to proceed to a different bridge, speed up to beat the boat traffic or wait. Of course since this is a ham radio it is not licensed on those freqs. Transmitting on those frequencies would be outside of what it is licensed with the fcc for..... I haven't seen many commercial radios with the same amount of features for the price though.

Currently it is a tram wide band vhf/uhf mounted on a rago ham radio ditch bracket extension. It works ok, but I have my eye on a larid i'll try out. Maybe even a duplexer in the future with an antenna dedicated to each.

I already have mine modded. I was more interested in where you have it mounted, how you ran the wiring, etc.
Using the ditch bracket extension for the antenna is an interesting idea. I have a stake pocket mount, but I've been thinking about what I would do with my antenna if I got a bed rack.

    Gotcha,

I at first was looking at getting sdhq to build what they had in the orange inferno center console for me. I decided against that because I like to tinker and see what channels I am on.

I used the icom magnetic mount bracket with a rammount cup holder bracket in the 3rd cupholder. Easily reachable and can be taken out quickly if need be.

The ditch bracket extension was more of a convenience than my preferred choice. I tried out a few mag mounts and they worked well but hated the way they looked. Until I get a rack on the Topper which will have the antenna mounted to it the ditch bracket was my next best choice.

Wiring follows my power wire for amps. Inside the console then over to the firewall on the driver side. Switch pros power it and antenna follows the same path back.
