Howdy all. As noted on a separate thread, I recently took receipt of a 2021 Tundra CrewMax in the Trail Edition version, which is configured with twin bed storage boxes, each mounted over the wheel wells (chose that trim levels because it has the 38 gallon tank and the 18” gray wheels that I dig). Shortly after receiving the truck, I decided to remove them to maximize bed capacity (family typically takes trips with multiple people and lots of stuff). They are very sturdy and lockable, and their storage volume is mainly in the areas fore and aft of the wheel hump (as you would find in aftermarket swing out boxes). One bin (driver’s side) is touted as being able to serve as a cooler - apparently being insulated. Both boxes have drain plugs. They are in original condition, stored inside. I know demand (or at least interest) is starting to grow for these on Tacomas and Tundras in terms of specifically equipped trim level buys and as separate accessory purchases so I thought this forum might be a good avenue to find some bidders.

Another fine gentleman on this forum is also selling these, but he is on the east coast. I am in Houston and prefer an in-person exchange here. Shipping is impractical given their weight and dimensions.

I am seeking $400, obo (they retail (dealer) for $700)
    .

    Vitals:

    · Applicable bed: 5’7”

    · Construction: Heavy duty plastic

    · Weight, each: Approximately 50 pounds (insulated one is a bit heavier)

    · Locks: Both bins, dedicated keys (2 duplicate keys supplied)

    · Mounting: each bin is mounted at the following points.

    (1) External, rear end: under each of the standard, rear anchors/tie-down that sit near the tailgate, with the anchor mounted over the designated edge of the box and fastened in with the 2 bolts.

    (2) External, top: Under the side Toyota bed rails, mounted through the same holes that the rails use. Note: I have retained these deck rail bolts as they hold my deck rail.

    (3) Internal, forward end: near the cab, a single Torx screw (T30) (M8), inside of box. PLEASE NOTE: the default (non-Trail Edition) setup is to have the 2-screw anchor on each side, near the cab. When I removed the bins, my truck had just a single hole on each side, near the cab, to accommodate the Torx screw and secure the front end of the bin. I don’t know if one of your twin anchor holes near your cab will serve this purpose or if you will need to drill another. I cannot guarantee how this will play out in your installation.

Pretty nice! How much do those retail for and do they fit 2014+ Models? I’d think they won’t fit with Berliner and just be bare or bed sprayed?

    Retail: See original post description.
Fit: I presume the bed configurations are the same for 2014 to current....?
As far as a tonneau ('Berliner' reference), be aware that these utilize the side bed rails to affix the boxes (rails placed over the top of the boxes), I would imagine that if a tonneau will work with Tundra side deck rails, that they would not be impeded by this. Buyer will have to flesh that out.

Depends how low the securing part is hanging past the rail, I bought a pair from a member here and I will be installing them onto mine.

If you have the tri-fold with the handles latches hanging down when secure in place, your cover will not work with these boxes.

I'll take photos when I install mine later this week to better indicate what will work.
