So I see the esp storage box for under the back seat. How much room is actually under the foam beneath the carpet? 4 inches??

    4.12539857 inches.

Or something like that. The bins are designed to be as deep as the foam plus the top plate that sits on top of the foam

Installed this item in my truck not long ago. Well worth the money.

I just pull one end up and measured from the bottom to the top of the carpet it is right at 2.5". But the bottom of the ESP box to the top lip of the box is 4".

Like I mentioned, well worth the money. You should have to close your eyes when you make that first cut into the carpet....LOL

    Many KB Voodoo Fabrications accessories!!
The ESP unit is worth more than what they charge. There is a useless amount of storage space in the truck without it, especially coming from a Tacoma.

Install is easy but will take a little time a set of balls. Taking a knife to your carpet isn't a natural act.

I have to look into that one, especially now since they will have a Black Friday sale commencing on 11/24.

Question! How far will the box stick up above the previous carpet level and is it pretty sturdy? I am asking because occasionally I haul my Dobie in the back with the seats folded up.

    Thanks!

I just went to the ESP site and looked at their different options (which answered my questions); nice storage solutions. I do like the one with the 3 trays and no cover. Now, watching the installation video it surprised me when they cut the carpet and the foam. That has to be nearly 3" which opens up another option which I really liked on my F-150....a flat rear floor.

When I get some time I will remove my rear carpet so I can lift the foam pad out and see how much of a step up there really is. If I can remove the foam all the way up to the rear seat tracks and line the floorboard with Dynamat and then carpet I might just get an almost flat floor with a minimal step up. It probably doesn't sound like a big issue to most but if you ever had a truck with a flat rear floor you'll understand where I am coming from. I think if done right it will be more functional and will look good as well.
