No idea about which warranty you have or if it is covered, but curious if you have a picture of the broken spot welds?

Haven't picked up the truck yet. That was his assumption. He pinpointed the location of the creaking noise which happens anytime the truck goes over a bump or even turn or backing out of the driveway. This is on the passenger side, in front of disc brake.

I will try to take a picture tonight after work.

He also recommended a body shop would know how to fix it since they remove truck beds all the time and they would have access to the rails.

picture of the squeaky culprit....the oily part is WD40 to pinpoint the issue.
You can also see those 2 pressed bolts. Rear passenger side.

So, this is rather unusual. I would definitely find out if this is covered under warranty.

Kinda has me thinking about what could cause this other than abuse or crappy weld. Overload the bed or hard Offroad?

broken weld is what my mechanic assumed. Difficult to tell from underneath but it is moving there whereas the other ones are not.
I don't overload the bed beside quad and hard off road not really.

That isn’t normal then. My bed was beat up a bit, and it was used pretty heavily for rocks and dirt.

    Keep us posted on this.

I will. It just appeared out of nowhere couple months back and I haven't been to the desert in couple months so kinda odd. Unless I hit a really bad pothole in L.A....

I wouldn’t doubt it in CA. I seen some craters the last time by Bakersfield (51 or 53) that could have swallowed my truck.

That is the worst. You know something is wrong, but they can't "reproduce" it and so you just have to deal with it or fix it yourself
