Tundra is just as safe as it used to be years ago when it tested best in class. If it was good enough then, then it is good enough now. Others have newer designs with newer safety features; yes, so now they are technically safer, but it does not make the Tundra unsafe.

I wonder why they purposefully miss the frame in all test?

Without having researched this further one would assume the testing criteria has been evolutionary. The tundra made its mark back in the day, but the other manufacturers are hungry. Toyota has not made/invested in significant changes to the design in over a decade...other than removing the driver side grab handle in the ‘14+ to try and reduce driver injury.

Despite this, I still think the Tundra is a reliable truck.

To be 100% honest, real world means more to me than a "crash test" anymore. The night of our accident, I was so grateful we were in my truck, not our minivan. The lady that hit us was doing over 60MPH. She was drunk and high. The truck takes the hit, and barely moved.

Safety also includes your truck not breaking down in the middle of nowhere or in a rough neighborhood....
