Chrome Delete Covers for Tundra Bumpers - BumperShellz

Can some one school me on why my Tundra has the rear bumper painted MGM but the front bumper is chrome? Still trying to figure out the difference between models and I bought this used from a dealer. Did it come stock like that or did the previous owner get them painted? Thx

As I understand it, unless you have a Platinum or a TRD Sport, you get the chrome on the front bumper. As far as the rear bumper, you have to have received the Convenience package in the build, which upgrades from the chrome bumper to color keyed, and adds parking assist sonar, blind spot monitor and rear cross traffic alert.

 

Front and rears color: 8T5

 

Does yours have a leather interior as well? If so these usually are the “Limited” trim with the TRD-off road package. Limited is the step up from the SR5.

 

Interested in a set of colour matched front and rear bumpers. Also, grill surround and hood bulge if you end up making those.

 

So I got impatient and ordered a set of the bumper covers from Toyota in cement. If the bumpershellz are like the Toyota minus the price, you guys will love them. (Toyota charged about $600, cheaper than spending $1500 for new end caps)

The paint looks awesome. It matches the mirror cover very well. I have not installed on truck yet because I have to go pick it up. Looks pretty simple to do. I did not have instructions. Sparks is going to send me some as soon as they get them.

Toyota offers overlays now (x2 $?), likely identical to bumpershellz product. The toyota version is what @atl1glf has shared with us in this thread.

 

Those are not "Toyota" products from what I understand. And are overlays as well, just overpriced as hell.

South East Toyota and Gulf States Toyota regions are independent distributors who contract outside vendors for their own accessories. Any Toyota part number that starts with 00016 are South East Toyota accessories and anything that starts with 00012 are Gulf States Toyota accessories. Which means these are not made or distributed my Toyota Motor Sales.
