So I bought my Tundra used, and the key never worked in the only door-lock (drivers side). Last night I popped the lock out to see if I could fix, it was clear that someone had tried to break into it, I bent the outer ring back straight and it still didn't turn.

Question: Has anyone had this done?

If I buy myself a Toyota door lock, how much would it cost me to:

    1) have the dealer re-key it to my current key?

    2) have a locksmith do it?

I would think if you have your VIN the dealership could order one already keyed for you.

Thanks all, I was hoping someone had already done this and knew how much it was.

I asked the dealership today when I stopped by. Their service dept. will call me back tomorrow.
