Considering having this lift installed on my 14 CM.

What is a reasonable cost of install by a suspension shop? I have had a quote of $800.00 so far, it seems high not including alignment. Replies only if you have had this lift installed. Much appreciated.
    Thanks,

My Toyota dealership quoted me $600 with UCA's and alignment.

Place in Richmond quoted me $500 for UCA's and alignment.

Oh, and from talking to these guys on here, you can probably install it yourself. It comes preassembled and set at 3". Just gonna need some jacks and jack stands. I'm not entirely sure what's involved in the differential drop, but I've heard it isn't much.

I installed mine myself. I can tell you that it definitely takes more than just jacks and jack stands haha. I had several pry bars being used as well. I had some struggles with my end links once I was attaching the front sway bar again.

However, I did not remove the lower ball joint at all. If you take those steps, maybe it changes things. I think 3 hours at a shop makes sense, plus an alignment. So I'm thinking $350-$450 would make sense.

Thanks for all the quick replies gents. Much appreciated, I thought $800 was way to high.

If anyone knows a really good shop around the Charlotte, or Gastonia NC area that they would reccomend, I would appreciate the info.

Not sure about that area. I've got some buddies around Harrisburg. I'll see if they know anyone.

I would do it myself, but that is just me. If you lived closer you could bring a 6 pack over and some work gloves.

Hey man I'm up towards Hendersonville area when I had my 5100's installed on my Tacoma from a local shop here I think it was around $450 and that included alignment. I haven't done anything with my Tundra yet but plan on doing something similar and will use the same shop. They have a good reputation around this area and always stand by their work.

@Patriot From talking to my buddies, there is a 4 Wheel Parts in Charlotte that would install it, but unsure of price. They do typically stand behind their work though.

But from talking to them, I think your best bet would be to take it to R&L Customs in Charlotte. Everyone has told me that they do really good work for reasonable prices. Just will need to call ahead to schedule an appointment as he's pretty busy.

I believe that @COMiamiFan spent $450 on his install recently in CO.

Yea $800 is too much to pay for the install. That is 8 hours at $100 an hour or 3 hours at $266.66 an hour.
Figure 3 hours at $100-$150 per hour.

I would give a shout out to some of the members local to you and have a lift install day. What better way to meet new people, have fun, learn about your truck.

I got pretty good at removing the front coilovers on my Tundra since I changed positions on my 6112s 3 times. I got it down to 1.75 hours for R&R. From the good advice from this site, I was informed on how to do it correctly and it made it super easy.

You will not regret that decision. Good all around CO system. I have helped install a few Boss systems on Tacoma's...they are pretty good for the average guy.
