Im using Directvnow (AttTvnow). We've had since its inception. Thinking of doing the 3 weeks just to
get a comparison, and its cheaper than what im paying now. ATT has raised my rate twice in 7 months.

Unless there is a better way to get the NFL pass from DTV, I'm stuck with what I have.

I had PlayStation Vue for a couple years and really liked it. After all the price raises (and talk of shutting it down.....I think I was paying $50/mo) I bailed and went to Philo.

If you only watch local sports using an antenna, it's the best deal you can get. $20/mo.

Plus there are plenty of automated DVR stuff you can use depending on which way your moral compass points you.

Almost like a fire stick or android box. U get all channels and tons of extras, including ppv, has a movies section also but you don’t really get a lot of the in theater movies. But tons to watch and most in good quality.

I cut cable, then I cut sling, I’m trying to talk the wife out of Netflix... but we both like the programming there so we will probably keep that. I also bought a $50 GE antenna from Wally world and have been pretty happy with free football and ETV for the little one.

Did the free trials for yt and Hulu recently just to watch a college football game not televised locally. Made me appreciate even more saving the $600 per year by not paying for TV programming filled with ads.

Hulu was much better picture quality than yt

When I cut the cord back in 2010 I put two antennas in the attic to feed three tv's, each tv have it's own signal amplifier, frontier $50/month for internet, and magicjack for a land line $35/year and netflix $12/month. Before that my cable bill was about $150/month for basic. In Jan we went back to cable and to be honest, there's nothing there that I'm missing but I am getting 200MB/s and cable for $94 a month.

look into the Disney plus for the kids, you can stream through most streaming devices and is anywhere from $7 to $10/ month and you will have access to all the star wars movies, pixar, etc.

You guys should look into iptv. There are a lot of platforms to choose from. If your not sure look it up on youtube. I use 2 different iptv services. I get a lot of the movies that are on redbox and theatre movies as well.

There is truly no reason to be using cable these days, so expensive. I cut the cord about 5 years ago, and now work at Roku... so I am a bit biased on which platform haha, but Amazon Fire or Roku I believe are your best bets. Stream on Tundras!

I put a HDTV Antenna in my attic with an amplifier Hi/Lo power and ran that down to my terminated cable TV splitter which is also amplified to not lose signal as split. OTA HDTV is now distributed throughout the house to each of 5 TVs that used to used for Cable TV. Local sports looks so much better (higher resolution non compressed signal HDTV OTA). I live about 17mi from a major city and used https://antennaweb.org/ to determine direction to aim the antenna to get the most stations for a given location.

My wife watches Law and Order all the time. You can get local news channels plus about 40+ other channels. We don't watch much TV and have another streaming service for news for $5/month plus Philo $20/mo. Way more than we need. We have 200MB Cable internet for $80/mo. Had Netflix but cancelled due to show quality going to mostly shock garbage (IMO) programming (used to have some music content and some decent movies but really went downhill). When baseball season was going late year we used Sling Blue. You can shut down Sling or Philo and go back no contract. Sling got expensive for what we watch and end up just listening to baseball on radio (but season on hold anyway) or going to nearby tavern and watching once in a while. If you are big on sports if it ever comes back You'll be spending more. Cable and Satellite are just way to expensive now and if you live in range of OTA TV that's Free!

I'd rather put money into the house or Tundra or other more tangible experiences.
