Just got my 2013 Tundra back from a local garage. It was taken in for intermittent braking with the brakes working fine and then the brake pedal going to the floor. Forum suggested the master cylinder and the mechanics thought so to. After five days in the garage with a new Toyota master cylinder installed they called and said the brakes worked as before and were unable to determine if the brakes were involved in a Toyota Service Bulletin. Does anyone know if the brakes are involved in a TSB?

go to toyota website, input your vin to check for any recalls or TSB.

Not that is matters now, if your brakes are now fixed. But that is how you check for any TSB and such for your vehicle

Wouldn’t really matter. TSBs are not covered free of charge like recalls are.

The brakes are not fixed they just seem to work whenever they want to now. I read there are several owners with the same problem and there seems to be no answer for this peculiarity.

I had a similar problem in my 2010. Threw a lot of money at it but ended up trading it in before I had a good fix. I believe it has something to do with the vacuum system. There is a thread on here where someone had a similar problem and ended up using an electric vacuum type device and that fixed his. If you search for the thread it has the model and some pictures.

Edit: here it is. Post #63. Maybe there aren’t pictures though. He has a SC too.
