Old news at ARFCOM. Only prancing pony AR I wouldn't mind having is a late 60's early 70s SP1. Colt is just a brand these days. You can build a decent AR that's not some crap for about the same money

Good, you can probably buy better parts for less and build your own. I won't need anything else they make either.

I'm here as a guest. But my favorite place is another type of forum. This Tundra sure has taken the wind out of my sails on the other forum. Hell, I can't afford to stock up on more ammo because of me spending money on this damn truck:rolleyes:

Colt AR’s are living on their name from MACSOG/ Vietnam era rifles and a few contracts they still have. Not one average person going to buy an AR could tell the difference between a Colt upper/lower, a Daniel Defense upper/lower and a Geisselle upper/lower. Colt is antiquated and irrelevant in the AR world and this will not cause any form of market fluctuation in the firearms world, just like Wal Mart not selling ammo. We will all get it at every other vendor that is happy to sell it. Look at Gander Mountain. How are they doing since taking a politically correct stand against ammunition and firearms?

Just get a new SCAR from the FN factory over on the east coast if ya really want something sweet and got the cash. Add $300 for a trigger and $1500 for a decent cheap optic. Then put that in your TRD pro. I can't afford neither so I'll just putz around with a poodle shooter build that still hasn't been to the range cuz I'm too busy with the truck.

Our AG killed the market for any AR platform, so it's not going a affect me, do hate to see them cave, as they are kinda local to me.

Colt is a legend that people were taught. Yes, they were. And ARs are decent rifles if you don't overspend on BS. But you are incorrect about Geisselle. They make great triggers

They have suspended civilian production before when the military contracts push them past their production ability. This is that The market is flooded, the share houses are full, sales are down. It’s a business decision and when there is a need they will produce again.

Since it and my other Colts went down with the S.S. Minnow, I'll just have to depend on my lonely Colt PocketLite.

I live in NYC.....wished we could own AR15s here....but the closest I can get to an AR here is my Ruger Mini-14 580 series chambered for 5.56 NATO.

    However I do own an M4 - a NYC compliant Benelli M4 =)

Allow me to correct, Gun stores in Georgia have been victim of smash and grab and now drug dealers and street gangs have dozens of them available for sale and/or quick access.

Why are you mad? They aren’t caving to crap. They have done this before and will do it again. It’s called business. You don’t make more than you can sell.

Colt M4’s have been one of my favorite weapons over the years. Personally, never had a operation issue once. One can get a stripped down Colt M4 A1/2 for under 600.00 and put on what you want.

It was a damn shame the wife and I sunk the Supra in our local reservoir. Just so happened to have the ARs onboard. Weirdest thing.

In honor of my last Colt M4....

What's the optic? Do you see the GB when you look through the A2 front? I going all A3 upper on a little project with an A2 butt, Wilde barrel, Midwest mid length M series mid gas, Larue trigger. No irons just trying to figure it out. I want magnification though at my age
