    Hi All,

I put a $1K deposit down for a Limited TRD at AutoNation Toyota Arapahoe that is supposed to arrive sometime in March. I am reaching out to see if anyone has had experience with this dealer.

So far, communication has been OK but they have been insistent about financing the vehicle through them and obsessed about my trade-in vehicle. I have my own financing and I wasn't initially planning on trading in a vehicle as part of this transaction.

After this experience, I checked yelp reviews and it's alarming to see all the negative reviews - many described the same experience I've had about the trade-in and the shady financing.

Any information you might have would be appreciated. Thanks!

Every dealer is gonna want you to finance through them. That's where they are gonna make the most money, off the interest of the loan, or selling your loan to another bank. If you already have a screaming good interest rates, tell them what it is and they may back off if they can't beat it. Could also negotiate a lower final price as a caveat to using their financing.

But on the whole I've used and not had any issues with that dealership

    Thanks for the feedback!

I know the financing pressure is typical for most dealers but the trade-in part was really awkward. They were more interested in my $3K trade-in than the $60k+ vehicle I am going to purchase!

    Thanks again.

We got a Highlander there. It was no different than Mountain States where I got my Tundra. It’s a meat grinder getting out of there once you decide to buy. Gross. Toyota financing was better than my credit union, though, so we went that direction.
But, ugh, I hate buying cars. The rigamarole they put you through with all the sketchy warranties, “TruCoat” shenanigans and the like. They wear you out. I think we went in at noon and got out close to 11:00pm.

East and West Stevenson's Toyota have a decent rep in Denver/Aurora. I used both for service, etc and was treated quite well.

Stevenson's East (Aurora) Gave me the highest trade in offer for my Tacoma. Sadly the truck they had I was interested in was missing a few options that were mandatory for me

Thanks guys! I have a deposit with Toyota Arapahoe so I'm sticking with them for now.

Hopefully, no issues. I'll let you know!
