Did anyone purchase a FFV Tundra in 2016? There is a tax credit available but I am having issues finding anyone who knows how much it is. My taxes are done just waiting on this last part.

I purchased one as well, but don't see the appropriate tax incentive in those links?

So if I got mine in 2015, is it too late to claim any credits if I didn't before?

Im still confused, dual fuel is defined as FFV but the state doesn't list it that way. FFV is alternative but the state says "innovative" I can't find a straight answer

If its a valid credit I think 2015 was a claim year, you would just ammend your 2015. It is showing me a $4k return if its valid so its worth the research

The question is does the Colorado term "innovative" mean "alternative" just someone needed a promotion so they changed the word to sound more scientific\ futuristic?

Sorry the link didn't help you out. I was reading on the credit and couldn't find anything on FF.

Found this: Colorado Alternative Fuel Definition
Alternative fuel is defined as compressed natural gas, propane, ethanol, or any mixture containing 85% or more ethanol (E85) with gasoline or other fuels, electricity, or any other fuels, which may include clean diesel and reformulated gasoline, so long as the Colorado Air Quality Control Commission determines that these other fuels result in comparable reductions in carbon monoxide emissions and brown cloud pollutants. Alternative fuel does not include any fuel product that contains or is treated with methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE). (Reference Colorado Revised Statutes 25-7-106.8)

Here is what is says from the Alternative Fuel Tax Credit link:
    Alternative Fuel Tax Credit
Alternative fuel vehicles titled and registered in Colorado are eligible for a tax credit. For the purpose of the credit, alternative fuels vehicles include dedicated or bi-fuel natural gas, propane, and hydrogen vehicles. Through December 31, 2016, purchased or leased vehicles are eligible for 18% of the actual cost of the vehicle, while converted vehicles are eligible for 55% of the actual cost of the conversion. The actual cost paid must account for federal credits, grants, or rebates; therefore taxpayers must subtract credits, grants, or rebates amounts before applying the percentage calculations. The tax credit is capped based on vehicle type in the amounts listed:

Category Cap per income tax year
    Light-duty passenger motor vehicle $6,000
    Light-duty truck $7,500
    Medium-duty truck $15,000
    Heavy-duty truck $20,000

My issue is the Colorado site defines it as innovative and the federal sites say alternative, I assume they are the same but I want it confirmed that Colorado is referring to e-85 as innovative before a file an expensive return

This is why I use a really good tax accountant. Hard to find at times, and your going to pay no less than 200.00, but it is worth it.

Doesn't exist for NM. Hell there are only 5 E85 in the entire state...not that I'd put that rubbish in my baby anyway
