it’s all about the little details! Just finished swapping out my paint matched door handles and anyone can do it. Took about 30 minutes. Snapped a couple of pictures to show you how it’s done. I also want to give a shoutout to Sparks Toyota where I bought them from and there excellent customer service! Let me know what you guys think. Enjoy

Very cool... I switch back and fourth between my color matched and the black on my MGM, haven't decided which I like best. Very, very easy mod, and really changes the look.

Nice upgrade. The side view of the truck looks so much cleaner with color matched handles.

Very nice. I've currently have black handles. Not sure which direction I would go (chrome or Blazing Blue Pearl) if I had a choice.

awesome post. thanks for sharing. I want to do this to mine because I hate the plastic look of the sr5 handles. I was really hesitant because I just had to replace my wifes outside handle on her escalade and i had to take the door panel off and it was a PIA! This is super easy. Ordering them today! thx again

@CJames334 when you take them out, the only thing holding the handle in is that screw? No other latches for the main handle correct?

What I'm going to do is try to color match, sand it down, prime and paint them and use 2k clear coat. :) Just making sure it's easy to take'em out - don't want any surprises.

    Thanks.

That is correct. When you go to install the larger portion you will slide it in and then backwards and you will feel it grab. It grabs onto whatever spring or rod is used to open the door.

Looks great! Expensive for the set- every time there’s a cheap silver set on EBay, they get snapped right up! Working on color matching everything on the front of mine from sparksparts

I hear that man, I spent $280 on my set from the dealer already painted 202 through ebay. My local dealer said they cant order color coded handles and that they have to be painted afterwards. My parts and service dept here is a bit of a joke . sparksparts had them for about $30 cheaper but I had already ordered them and didnt feel like canceling the order and dealing with the additional headaches.

here is the link for anyone interested.

Huge difference. Much cleaner look and only took me about 20 min to change out all 4.

The fact that Toyota was smart enough to
Make all 4 doors take the same handle and be a 1 screw installation is genius.

    Very well thought out.
It’s almost like they knew what we would be doing.

Brilliant engineering behind the design and installation. I think for $40+, an SR5 should come with those color handles to begin with.
