Had my bumper painted with bedliner and they did a color match using Toyota paint. Think it turned out pretty nice. It was about half the cost (place here charged me $290 including the paint) of buying color match bumper from Toyota and I think this will be more durable/tough in the long run. Seems like I see a few back bumpers with scratches and stuff after some use of trailers, climbing in the bed, etc. Thought I'd post a pic in case anyone wants to see how it turned out on the sunset bronze mica color. It's an exact color match, just a slightly different sheen, but they still put a glaze on it so it is just about exact. Now the chrome delete is officially complete!

Plenty planned thanks to all of you.
That looks really awesome and it's definitely much less expensive than going with the replacements. Great option and results.

Looks good....I really dig that color. I probably would have gone that route had it not been for inferno.

I thought about doing this with inferno, but was skeptical on trying it out without seeing someone else do it first
It looks great though, and it will definitely be way more durable than the plastic OEM version you can buy.. not to mention so much cheaper!

@Stumpjumper - I honestly don't know what they did, sorry. He told me that they had to do something to the chrome in order for it to stick, but I'm not sure what exactly they did. I had it Plasti-dipped black when I brought it in, and he said it wasn't a big deal that they would remove it when they did whatever they needed to do to the chrome in order for the liner spray to stick. Maybe it was like a sand blast or sanding it down or something? Possibly similar to what they do when they put the spray in the bed of the pickup. Sorry, wish I had the exact info for you.

so $290 for the rear, I wonder how much just the front two end caps would be. Or even the whole front bumper. Could they do the plastic Valence? I wouldn't think you could do the plastic but what do I know.

Grew up in Boise, currently live in Meridian, which is basically Boise. Love northern Idaho, about as nice as it gets.

Went with a local place here in town called Toughline. Not sure the difference between them and the other guys, but they were willing to do it. Product is warrantied for life, so long as they are in business I suppose. They are sub-contracted by a big local Ford dealer to do the bedliners when people buy new, so they seem to know their stuff.

He said they pulled the bumper and it came off in two pieces, so I would imagine the front would be similar price. Not sure on the plastic, but I doubt it. I ended up going through Roman to replace the front end caps/grille/and bulge with Toyota TRD Pro color match and then just sprayed the rear bumper. Wanted something durable, plus it was quite a bit less.
