Hey guys I got 2019 platinum I recently bought. When I start up cold and go into drive and give it gas, even a slight amount, I hear like a small but noticeable pop/thud. It almost sounds like a vacuum sucking up a ball and losing suction if that's the most accurate way of describing it. I don't really notice it once the engine is warm and running at normal temps. Anyone else experience this?

Coming from the front of the truck? I believe it may be the ABS system doing its self check. I experience a similar sound on every takeoff after starting the truck.

Is that normal? My 19 makes a similar sound, once everytime after starting the truck the first time I move the steering wheel. I thought maybe it's a pressure issue in the power steering. But it is literally heard only once everytime I start moving after a start, so I haven't been worrying about it.

Very normal, considering everything I have read. Mine does it right at 12-15mph.

It does the sound on the 2020. It's also the air pump sound that you're hearing. Same thing with my 16. And 05. Completely different truck, but similar DNA.

Yup, you'll here it everytime especially if you're parked next to a wall.

What baffles me is that why some trucks make that noise and others don't

They do make the same noise some might just be faint than others or depending on how open or closed off an area they are.
