Well everyone I finally removed my AFE intake. What I realized is that it was a huge waste of money. I read a post awhile back that said if toyota didn’t install it when new it probably did t need it. Save your money gentlemen. Mine was on for 3 1/2 years. The only thing that it did was make my engine louder. It runs better without it. Hope this helps those who want to buy one decide

The factory cold air intake is really all these trucks need.

Toyota has a really well designed air intake on these and the Tacoma's. I just do a TRD filter swap and call it a day. I think the new TRD CAI for the Tundra uses a panel filter now so I see no reason to "upgrade" other than looks.

I added a drop-in aFe Magnum FLOW Pro DRY S air filter yesterday, I figured the new BAMuffler cat-back warranted an upgrade on the intake side.

Except it lets in more damaging dirt particulates in the process of letting more air in.....

Then the real question is which filters worse- a Pro Dry S filter or Pine Cones?

    No evidence supports this claim.

I lost so much after bigger tires. I got the s&b and it made a huge difference. I am at high altitude though. I never have the side plug installed.

Yep. I mean that’s to be expected even more so at altitude.
