My shackles and new coilovers as well as rear shocks go on tomorrow! Was going to do it myself but chickened out and my wife knew it would take me 4x as long as a shop. Typical for anything I do... Still, excited to see how they go! After that, I figure out shoes...

I just added the +2 shackles to my TRD PRO today @Coachbuilder1 . These things are awesome! I don't know what it is about these beefy shackles and poly bushing, but my rear suspension feels way sturdier. Definitely a must do mod!

+3 shackles went on my truck today. I had been second guessing myself thinking I should get the 2's but I am super happy with it!! As stated, the ride improvement is great. Of course, I added 5160s from Bilstein at the same time so that could have helped too! Tomorrow... tires!!IMG_20190828_165846331_HDR.jpg

I added some +2 as well and had cut the 2 brackets for spare tire and I thought I had aligned it but after a week now the spare tire seems to have shifted to the drivers side and now it is rubbing against the bolt ......what other options to I have

Yeah, I'm planning to grab one from Oreilly's for the install. Being in AZ and the truck is only 2 years old I'm hoping the bushings press out without too much hassle. There shouldn't be any rust or deterioration from road salt or anything like some in other areas of the country. Hoping for an easy job.

Sure looks like it's going to be a breeze for you. Mine is old and been through snow and salt so it wasn't as easy as it looked on the video

Nothing ever seems to go as planned for me, but hoping this will be the exception. I'll post some pics once installed.

F3159561-7628-4D4F-ABE3-C2181FE20D67.jpg No need for impact gun, all you need is a little elbow grease and patient with a ratchet! I used a washer sandwich between the press/puller and the bushing and it came out pretty easy.
ED503124-2425-44EB-A7B9-DF3AC5EE87FE.jpgOnly trouble was I had to cut off the bolt on the the driver side shackle which was seized together with the bushing.
ADB84980-ED0C-4FEF-878B-913C72B812FB.jpg I also second guess myself if I should go with +1 or +2. When with +1, probably happy with either!

Did you ended up fixing then issues. Are the bracket you cut maybe it was to hold it in place. I havent cut mine yet, but i figure i would have no choice to do it.

It's the same issue the thing is that when you are moving the tire up it automatically wants to go to the left I'm gonna try and adjust again and see what happens

That's a good idea to use a puller to press out the bearing, the c clamp is heavy from the ball joint kit and it dropped on my leg. Not a pleasant experience

I really like the way your truck looks. What lift did you do to the front? What coil overs do you have?

I noticed my left side is close to the spare too. Is it really an issue?

Also I see you have a shim over the coil assembly so I'm wondering if longer bolts were needed?

I would say rubbing on tire is not good due to shackle not able to move freely

    Thanks

I got 1/2" skins to install, 2 on the driver side and 1 passenger side.

Removing the front suspension was such a pain last time

Just saw a few asking about the spare making contact to the drive side shackle. The tire winch is not perfectly centered and wants to hold the spare off to the drive side. if you lower the spare and just give it a slight push over to the passenger side you should be able to center it better clearing each shackle.

just went through yesterday to do a 500 mile re-torque and had to drop the spare in order to re-torque the shackles. i had someone raise the spare and I manually kept it centered between the two.
